The Deseret News cites an ESPN executive as saying that LeBron James will make his announcement within the first 10 minutes of Thursday's one-hour show.
This certainly comes as a surprise. We would have expected the announcement to be drawn out until the final moments of the show, but it appears that we may find out right off the bat. Depending on what you believe, the Cavs, Heat, Knicks, Nets and Bulls were all potentially still in the hunt as of late Wednesday afternoon.

Also found this interesting...though heat fans wont like it:http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wi...ron_says_bosh_is_wades_lap_dog/#ixzz0t24q89A8

Power shift? ORL, BOS, MIA, CHI, MIL, ATL, CLE (pending LBJ) are all capable of 50+ wins.

Lmao, I love SVG. Funny as hell.

I agree and disagree with him, though. They are on Lebron's thing way too hard, but it's what gets fans interested.

    2 interesting notes I found:

So Lebron announces in 1st 10 minutes of his show...not NYC=19+ million tuning out. He's either leaving or not smart about TV. You decide.

And from Amareisreal (his twitter page): "What's good NYC! I'm going to be at The Garden tomorrow for a special event and saved 2 seats for my fans. Who wants to come be in the mix?" - Wonder what the special event is? :shifty:

    More good stuff:

    1) A clue or a hoax...you'll note the knicks orange: http://soupsoup.tumblr.com/post/782590130/witness-lebron-in-knick-orange-a-clue-or-a

    2) @Amareisreal: @kingjames come join me @Amareisreal in NY, we can do something really special. "Oh let's do it" !!

    3) @RealJayWilliams: I am going to say this. I just heard from a little bird in his camp, King James and Spike Lee will be seeing a lot of each other next yr.

LeBron James was apparently at Sparks in NYC with Amare Stoudamire and Allan Houston this evening. Hmmm...

Also radio hosts Joe Beningo and Evan Roberts twitter pages indicate its NY for Lebron as well...Roberts is a Nyets fan for the record. They usually dont buy in the rumors so they tweeted this:

"RT @AlexKennedyNBA: Two Cablevision helicopters have been flown to the New York Knicks practice facility, according to sources."
    43 minutes ago via web

"LeBron will be a Knick...to the diehards congratulations as much as it pains me to say it"

LeBron will be a Knick. It all adds up. He's making his announcement in NY. If he was going to stay, it would not be a big as deal. He is spending an Hour long to talk about it, half of it will be why he left and he will talk about how much he loves Cleveland. If he was going to stay, i believe he makes his announcement before hand. It's looking real good for the knicks. Wish i was in Vegas still to place a bet before hand.

I feel terrible for the Cav fans. I really do. They were all but guaranteed a championship if Lebron stayed there for his whole career. Most likely they would have won a few. If he leaves, they are done, they will go back to the old cavs. Worst part is, they got nothing out of LeBron. Not one title.

Well at least the knicks arent stuck with David Lee's new 6yr/80M contract. That loser team would be Golden State. Poor Lee will never see the ball with Monta Ellis whoring it up.

    GS gets Lee
Knicks get Anthony Randolph, Turiaf and Keleena Azabuike

Thought this was interesting. Thought the owner would have taken the high road but he basically throws Lebron under the bus. I have to admit, I thought LeBron really cashed it in versus the Celtics but this is pretty damning stuff. Sour grapes or an owner that is just saying what he really thinks now that he doesn't have to kiss LeBrons ***? Its going to be interesting this year, I mean Miami has to win a title every year or they are going to be laughed at, a lot of pressure there. Looking forward this year as a Wiz fan (and all things Florida fan), the NBA got really interesting this offseason.

I think it is just an owner who is really sour that the franchise he bought is now worth half (or less) than what it was just the day before.

Magic fans - what do you guys think of Chicago's offer sheet with J.J. Redick? Think it'll be matched? That's an interesting situation. I think I'd prefer him to stay in Orlando. I really don't want Chicago stock piling on shooters.

Well...you know my position on Vince carter...

but redick is as one dimensional a player that exists.

    he is a mediocre:

    Passer
    defender
    off the ball mover
    set offense creator

    he is really good at:

    Shooting.
