That Diesel guy from RealGM was on the LeBatard show earlier in the day as a caller and reported that his "Source" was saying the LBJ was coming.

Maybe Diesel is Stephen A. Smith? :shifty:

He's threatening to be a real journalist now.

Has one source ("never been wrong") saying LeBron. Ended the show saying another was calling his cell phone now.

If James lands in Miami (and NYC imho is a better fit) then Season Ticket Holders just received a windfall, they probably doubled or tripled in value with a Wade/Bosh/James line up on the floor every night.

Gotta say that Riley executed this flawlessly...but Me and HD spotted this almost two years ago.

Riley did as well. This is brilliant GM work.

Heat rebuilt while MAKING the playoffs. and did it in 2 years.

You have no reason to be bitter. You have 6 rings mostly at the expense of my Knicks. That your team got Boozer is more then I personally would have ever allowed you guys to get. Not because I dislike you Doc, youre a good dude...I just put the Bulls at Jets status of complete and utter disdain

Can always use Heat Ticket Exchange to find some good deals on individual tickets as gametime approaches. I've gotten tickets in the upper bowl in row 2 or 3 for $11 a pop before. Probably your best bet at getting tickets next year.

&%^$ I guess I better spend my savings on season tickets before they become impossibly expensive and waiting lists are created. Ill be homeless after I get laid off but Ill be damned if I miss the Showtime Heat.

Didn't the Bulls and Heat set a playoff record for fewest combined points the first game of that series?

I'll never forget that day.. But boy did we pay a steep price for that series victory.

Salary Cap went up from projected 56.1 million to 58 million!

That two million could be crucial. There's a difference between having $11-12 million left to spend and $13-14 million. Over the course of a multi year contract, that could be up to $5-10 million more in total to offer. So $13-14 million with Bosh and Wade's contracts starting at $16.6 million... $18-19 million if Beasley is included in a sign-and-trade for Toronto.

We can really build this team right now.

Because Cleveland and the Knicks are similar teams, only the Knicks have a better 3yr view moving forwards, the Cavs simply have to clear cap space, the Knicks have been through that pain.

And NYC is really more of a B-Ball town and Baseball, James succeeds there he will be in the Willis Reed/Walt Frazier/O Roberston pantheon..on his own.

I do think if he did come to the Heat as a nuevo three amigos now that Boston has reached that age, he would win titles, but I suspect he wants more than just a Title.

Nope, 1 MAX player is not enough, you need 1 more.

Wade -re-upping in Miami is anti climatic Sect, outside of the flunkies on Sportscenter..

I do feel for PNomina, LJ IS a entire industry of his own in Cleveland, watch the ESPN documentary on Gretzky leaving Edmonton sometime and it gives one a different perspective on what "dominant" players really look forward to..at least it did for myself.

ever been at the strip joint..very late at night...and the place is about to close and you just realized that you still have a ton of money in your pocket?

man..I really like all FOUR SF options and I actually want two of them if Lebron is not here.

Korver, Mike Miller, D-Wright, Que. all good options...any two...I can win with. it can't be Miller and Korver though. One shooter specialist..and one swing defender. Josh Howard is also interesting..but he is kind flakey.

    So it is either:

    Korver
    Que

    Miller
    Wright

    Korver
    Wright

    Miller
    Que

Hold on due to the percentages and whatnot in going over the cap.... we can sign all three players to the max 16.6 million now can't we? Captologists help me. The Bulls fans are saying this and going nuts about it!

I just want to see the rivalry rekindled...those were great series. I know Houston broke your hearts with that series winner and Timmy hurt me very deeply. Funny part is I didnt burn my Hardaway Golden State even then

I agree. My preference has always been two if not LeBron, JJ, or Gay. I'd like Dorell Wright along with a shooter. Q-Rich/Wright, Miller/Wright, and Korver/Wright all work perfectly for me. Dorell is slowly (very slowly) developing into a complete player. I'd like to hold onto him.

Nope the resigned Wade and Added Bosh, you are one short.

As I recall you were adamant that no player would sign for less than the MAX contract they could receive, my position is these things are more complex than that, sometimes players take less money to be on the team they prefer.

And Bosh turned down a S&T for the MAX...to Cleveland.

    Rebuilt?

The Heat have how many players under contract? 3? 4?Your rebuilding is 8 short homie.

    Jerry West?

I do give Riles credit, he remained competitive (save for the 15 win season) while aligning things for this year, but recall one was also certain that Rudy Gay would be on the Heat?

Max did go up. 17.4 million in 2010 is now Wade, LeBron, and Bosh's max.

Amare you want to go ahead and renig your agreement buddy? Lost out on some millions. His max jumped up to like 18.6 or something.

Ira is wrong. Their max remains 105% of their previous years salary, because that is greater than 30% of a cap based on 48.01% BRI. $16.568908M remains the number for a true max.

Not really. Name one player taking less that is not on the heat. I expressly told you that the heat would be the prime destination in the summer of 2010 and that sacrificing cap space for quick fixes that would not make championship sense...was dumb. Well..here we are.

In almost 75 of the 82 regular season games next year....The Miami heat will have the best TWO players on the court. Basketball observers would tell you...game over.

uh...padre..the Heat is rebuilt. Basketball is top down. Yes..I realize they are not going to play with just 2 guys. sigh.

If you are not ready to admit you were wrong...let me know when.
