Can LeBron become a part owner of the Phins like the Wiliams Sisters, J-Lo, Jimmy Buffet, etc., or would that not be allowed?

Last night i was convinced he would be a Knick, now i think he is going to the Heat. Good for them, bad for the NBA imo

Dont go jumping off a bridge just yet. Hes going to be a knick. You have no faith dude. He's announcing his decision 10 minutes from the knicks practice facility. None of this has changed.

@TommyDeeTKB: source says miami frantically trying to move beasley in a 3-way deal. Nothing done as of yet.

ESPN is in Connecticut, not too far from NYC. He has to be near there as he is making his announcement Thursday night on ESPN. I heard he had dinner at a Miami steakhouse with Bosh and D. Wade earlier tonight, and it looks like he may buy a Coral Gables house and Miami condo. Just from looking at Wade and Bosh, you could tell they knew he was coming but couldn't spill the beans.

    I'm a Nets fan.

While I'd love for him to join the Brooklyn Nets, I acknowledge that it's about a thousand to one shot right now. At this point, I just want him to stay in that depressing city of Cleveland. They need him. They have nothing else. He is the hometown kid.

Then it's f'd up from a competition standpoint to have a super team like this in Miami. Why not put Darrelle Revis, Adrian Peterson, and Larry Fitzgerald on the Colts.

Again, **** the NBA. I can't wait for this crap to end.

Breaking News: I acquired photo prof of Lebron holding the jersey of the team he has signed with. I can say thephins.com has made history by breaking you this news, and we have proof!

    Appreciate.

Seriousely. Appreciate this. Pat Riley is just doing his job. How is this a joke? Just because he's not playing for the Knicks where everyone wants him to be.

This would be the Lakers of the 80's all over again. Pat Riley, Magic, Kareem and Worthy. If this does go down lets hope they win 5 titles! And boy would I love to see Pat Riley on the sidelines again!

Yes, having a potentially dynastic team in a major international city is a bad thing. :pity:

Teams that have sustained success draw fans and ratings. Who cared about the Colts before Manning came along? Who'll care when he's gone? Exactly.

Go binge at an inferior NY deli.

The theory is that sports leagues can't "really" succeed unless their NY-based teams are competitive and winning. It's a load of garbage New Yorkers tell themselves to feel more important than they really are. The 2009-10 NBA finals drew millions more viewers without an NY team competing than the 2009 World Series featuring a Yankees victory.

When he says "bad for the NBA" he means "bad for New York." AFAIK, bad for New York is good for everyone else, especially with that sort of smug attitude.

Not to be a downer, but why would espn break a story that ruins their special and its drama?

Probably because they haven't barred their reporters from reporting on whatever their sources are telling them.

    ... Hopefully.

Not sure, there are only so many sports entertainment dollars to go around during the recession, the Dolphins will be competing with the Heat for ticket sales later this year.

Dolphins ticket sales are automatic in any season that doesn't involve Cam Cameron and 1-15. The AAA is almost sold out right now with just Bosh alone in town.

ESPN running with LeBron to Miami on their front page. I guess they'd rather kill their own ratings rather than admit the entire country tuned in to watch the Heat add the final piece of a dynasty.

Selling himself short would be going anywhere other than Miami at this point.

If winning is #1 for him, he goes to Miami. Anything else is lifestyle, fan or ego-driven.

    Bingo.

Even Knicks fan unextraordinaire Sid Rosenberg has said as much a few weeks ago. If it's about winning, he comes to Miami, end of story.

FUC* espn. It's like the world just ended. Gloom and doom. These bastards in the media are in full court press mode to dissuade Lebron. These media scrubs look shattered. I wonder what these nutsacs would look like if Lebron was leaning towards Chicago.

The Bulls have the better team so if it's all about winning he will join Chicago.

Revel in it, man. Normally it's infuriating, but now that they hate Miami because of rediscovered excellence, it's just sour grapes on their part.

Bask in it, because we're about to become the Evil Empire of the NBA. (Ironically, ESPN loves them some Yankees Evil Empire.)

Id never thought I'd imagine the HEAT having so many superstars, getting all three top FAs in one offseason. Then again I never imagined Shaq playing for us either and it happened. This has been the best week ever.
