I want to get excited but I just refuse to believe it till he signs, still enough time for someone to change his mind if he's really is set on here, there have been to many rumors to trust anything.

I think its going to happen. With Bosh here along with Wade he's not going to pass up the opportunity to play on a DreamTeam.

Thanks Section for putting this out there two years ago. It seemed like a pipedream even I couldn't believe it but it looks like its actually going to happen.

In related news, the NBA announced today that the All-Star game will be played in Miami from 2010 until 2015. The All-Star game will now take place 41 times a year in Miami and will hit the road 41 times :)

Fellas, I am sick to my stomach.
My brain is racing as everytime I blink I see an alley oop from Wade to Bron. Make it stop!!!!

Insane is the keyword....I was driving into work, and listening to the FAN(NY Radio), and Broussard said mutliple sources are confiming he is on a plane to Miami...which is crazy considering he has to be in Bristol(ESPN), CT by 9PM.....

I cant believe Miami is getting LBJ, what an amazing year for Miami, truly awesome to watch, and I'm glad too couldnt happen to a more hungry and deserving sports town.....

Wade, LBJ, and Bosh....hahahahah thats foolish.....suddenly Bosh is the "throw in" on Miami's FA offseason....

Honestly, I think Bosh might be our consistently leading scorer. If you've got Wade and LeBron together, you're throwing everything you have defensively at them, leaving Bosh free to dominate inside.

So how bad would it be if Miami lands all 3 and still doesn't win multiple titles? Not trying to troll here, but I think it's a legitimate question. I'm sure they will win, but there is no guarantee.

I think if there's no title by the end of year 3 we're looking at a meltdown.

That said I think Wade/Bron/Bosh gets a title by the end of year 2. Wade/Bosh alone might take a little longer, but will get one.

Pretty bad I would think, everyone is pretty much saying that the rest of the NAB will roll over for us so I'd bet we would get killed for pretty much forever. Lebron would surely get the brunt of that but if it does happen but I'd have a hard time believing they wouldn't win at least 2 or 3 unless we get some freaky injuries.

It would take major injuries for that to happen (God forbid) *Knock on wood*

Sometime after 9pm tonight boys and girls, we may be the official "Don't Let Kobe Beat MJ's 6 Rings" Defense Force. Maybe Stern hasn't been frowning on us this whole time afterall.

Still I remain skeptical till it actually happens AND I see who we sign as role players.

I wouldn't worry about injuries. The NBA isn't as physical as it could be, so there aren't really too many serious injuries. It's not like the NFL where guys drop like flies and everyone plays hurt.

But it would definitely take some freak event for the Triple Crown (my nickname for them) to not win a title or even multiple titles.

He actually said that it might not be safe for LBJ to live in Akron anymore.

Josh Elliott on ESPN is now my least favorite anchor, and I'm REVELING in his pain. The guy is so clearly PO'ed and frustrated with the Knicks losing out and the Heat gaining from their loss.

They think that because the announcement is happening in the tri-state area that it means he'll announce for the Knicks.

My point earlier was that in Cleveland, it isn't just basketball. It is a huge part of our economy. His taxes alone are huge in this area. It is pathetic here.

I think Cavs fans have been pretty decent in all this - I don't think we've been as whiny as Knicks or Bulls fans - but if Bron does leave the ***hole fans will come out of the woodwork and embarrass this city. And trust me - there are a LOT of ***holes here.

I couldn't keep up with everything last night - I know the report of Bron flying to Miami was debunked - did Broussard say how he got the info about Bron coming to Miami?

With the way LBJ plays you have to somewhat worry about injuries. He showed this year in the playoffs that they are starting to take a toll in his body.

No wait the City of Cleveland DEPENDS on it, if LBJ leaves, the Big One is coming and Cleveland will get sucked in by a giant sink hole and cease to exsist.....really?? Come to RI then where we are the 4th highest in the country in unemployment.....

Phinomina I am not directing it to you, but you convey that message yesterday(update, and again today I see), and I can tell it is the attitude of that City.....I have a buddy over there in Akron, and one in Canton, thats all they say, and I just laugh....

The report of LeBron flying to MIA to dine with Wade and meet with Riley was debunked. LeBron signing with Miami is a separate report and independent of the debunked travel plans.

Broussard broke Wade/Bosh to MIA. I have no reason to doubt him about LeBron.

Disagreed. Joining Wade and Bosh means he can take it a little bit easier in the regular season and turn it on in the playoffs. This helps Wade, too, whose style of play is far more physical than LeBron's.

Hate it if he leaves Cleveland - but love that FINALLY ESPN and the MSM will have to respect Miami as a legitimate sports town. Watching Bron and Wade demolish the Celtics will be one of the best moments of the year. You'll laugh, you'll cry...Paul Pierce will probably flail around on the ground for awhile. Fun for everyone.

    Question...

If this REALLY goes down... and we have Wade/Bron/Bosh on the Heat, Parcells&Co w/ Brandon Marshall, etc on the Fins....

Does Miami get its own ESPN like some of the other big cities like NY, LA, Dallas, Boston, and Chicago?

Probably not. If having Parcells, Sparano, Jason Taylor, Pat Riley, Wade, Hanley, and Josh Johnson wasn't enough for ESPN to create an ESPN Miami site in 2009, then I don't think they'll do it now. They'll just run with LeBron stories on the front page of ESPN.com's NBA section.

Hope I'm wrong, though. Would love to see ESPN eat crow and have to dedicate coverage to Miami.

You're missing the point. We don't care about the quality of coverage, we care about the schadenfreude of making the Miami-hating ESPN being forced to cover the town against their will. Hell, I doubt anyone here would ever actually visit any possible ESPN Miami site beyond one quick trip to ensure that it actually does exist.

Miami is on a lower tier though than the 5 cities listed when it comes to sports towns.

The general perception is that South Beach is a bandwagon town.

    LeBatard on ESPN now.

Believes Wade/Bron/Bosh decided to team up before free agency began and they just went through the motions.

LeBron is "extraordinarily brave" for doing this even in the face of heat from Cleveland. (Whatever, Dan.)

Thinks Wade doesn't care if the Heat are "his team," just wants to win.

Wade/Bron/Bosh "figured it out in their prime, 'let's go do this together.'"

And the general perception is wrong. Miami is not a bandwagon town. The dynamics are different than in traditional sports cities, that's all. For example, people rag on the Marlins for having low attendance, but they post big TV ratings nightly. (This is why the Marlins are hyping the stadium, because they believe it fixes the problems that causes people not to turn out, like the unbearable heat in summer.)

Now, Heat attendance did go down for a while, but that was the economic crash combined with a terrible on-court product, not a lack of loyalty. If you've just lost your job and your 401(k) is suddenly a 201(k), you're not going to spend a couple hundred bucks to see a bad sports team. Just not happening.

But what have all of those other 5 cities had?

They've had dynasties... which have MADE them the sports cities they are today.

    Dallas - Cowboys dynasty
Boston - Celtics and Pats dynasties
    LA - Lakers dynasties
    Chicago - Bulls dynasties
    NY - Yankees dynasties

If Miami builds a dynasty down here... they will elevate the city into that level...

How?? Like Miami residents rooting for other teams?? From up here, Miami is viewed as not as avid as the major cities, cuz it is so tourist driven, and alot of retired people live in Fla, but bandwagon I have never heard of that.....to be bandwagon means you have to have won championships, recently and are the favorities....IMO...who has done that in Miami?

now if LBJ goes to Miami let the bandwagon begin...
