Signing with Miami would contradict almost everything we have heard from LeBron. The guy is such an ego-maniac. He has promoted himself so damn much. To go somewhere to be the #2? It just doesn't make sense.
That's great but it still doesn't change what I said about the fans. All those towns have better sports fans and more of a following than Miami. However, if this goes down, bandwagon express all aboard.

I think he was more referring to being "fair weather" fans... which Miami does have a reputation for...

You know your attempt at trolling is off the mark if you happen to agree with a Jets fan in the process.

To be bandwagon fans, all you have to do is hop on a team's bandwagon when they are good, and not care when they suck. That's it.

This site is all full of die-hards, and I 100% respect that, so don't get me wrong.

Go on over to RealGM and commiserate with the rest of the delusional crowd. This is the party thread.

I love all the whiners and the haters, just makes me chuckle.

For a good laugh check out the RealGM Bulls/Knicks boards. They have convinced themselves all these reports are a "smokescreen" to drive up ratings.

Uhm, how exactly? If the answer is known before "The Decision" airs it makes it alot less likely that people will watch.

And Mike Greenberg continues to be a total tool. He says that if the "Big 3" were really getting together they would've announced together and LBJ would not have had this special. Hey dum-dum, LBJ wants his own special, all the attention, and Wade and Bosh are gladly giving it to him because despite what you New York and Chicago tools want to believe they actually want the guy to come here and are willing to defer.

    Alright, back on topic.

Any good nicknames for our new triple-threat Heat core? Let's do a better job of this than we have with the lukewarm Parcells/Ireland/Sparano nicknames. (Trifecta? Really? Come on guys.)

    How does Triple Crown sound?

Edit: Sedano ragging on Sid Rosenberg right now. Great radio.

Realsitically he could go to NY, and have Amare, which isnt as good Wade/Bosh but still very good, something to build on at least, and eventually in a few years he could win something over there....Cleveland offers nothing, except high taxes apparently....

In the beginning I thought he would stay with Cleveland, cuz of loyalty, but in todays sporting world, loyalty is as good as yesterday words...nowadays it all about instant gratification....

If LeBron DOESN'T come to Miami - I wonder what the backlash here will be. Been a lot of jokes made at the expense of Knicks / Bulls fans - I wonder how similar the reaction here will be if he doesn't say MIA.

Why does everyone think he'll be number 2??? I think it's obvious that if King James comes to town, Wade is #2 and Lebron remains king. Sorry Wade, I love what you've done but the King is the King.

Disappointment for about five minutes, then we go back to being optimistic because we're still thrilled with a core of Wade and Bosh.

As opposed to Knicks fans who will start jumping off bridges if LeBron does come here.

Please, shut the **** up Gutierrez.

Yes, I'm sure MLB hates that the Yankees and Red Sox are always winning. And other challengers will emerge, other teams will still draft and sign good players, the Heat will not be winning by 40 every night.

Just such a stupid, ridiculous article on all levels.

Although I'm working myself into a frenzy and now will be crushed if LBJ doesn't come when I was just optimistic before.

If Ira is referring to Broussard's looping call-in, he's still endorsing LeBron to Miami.

Well egomaniac or not, these guys are athletes. They play ball because they love it and to WIN. If winning is his priority, then I think the decision is an easy one.

Look, I expect the guy to possibly have second thoughts/cold feet about leaving Cleveland. He's not going to Bulls/Knicks/Nets. Those fans just need to forget it and move on. It's either come here or stay home.

And if LBJ is truly waffling, we bring in the closer one last time. I truly believe that Riley had no thought or even intention of pursuing LBJ until Wade brought the possibility to his attention a month or so ago.

But I have no doubt that now that the Heat is so close, that Riley can taste this. And now he wants it, and he not going to let it go when we already got this far beyond anybody's wildest dreams.

Just my opinion, but I think this is all leading up to LeBron announcing he's returning to Cleveland, and then announcing they've traded for Chris Paul.

And regardless, whether LBJ goes to Miami, Cleveland, New York, Chicago, or the North Pole, this entire process has been a huge win for the NBA.

How exactly are they trading for CP3? The only reason NO would even consider trading him is for young talent at low salaries that would drastically reduce their payroll. Cleveland has nothing to offer in this regard. You don't trade CP3 for 4 more years of anderson Varaejo and Jamario Moon.

He might end up staying in Cle., I've prepared myself for the possibility, but they are not getting CP3

Oh please. Why would they want him to stay in Cleveland rather than going to Ny or Chi?

The Lakers got Gasol b/c Chris Wallace is everybody's punching bag, particularly Pat riley's.

He very likely could end up in Miami. But I have a hard time, that after refusing to discuss FA since midseason, giving out literally no information during the process, and orchestrating an hour-long special on ESPN to announce his decision, that LeBron would let out his decision 24 hours before the whole thing ends.

They don't have any firepower to make that trade. If you believe the premise that CP3 is on the trade block to clear salary and make the Hornets more sellable, then what appeal does a bunch of contracts that don't expire for another couple of years hold? You'd need contracts that expire ASAP.

I agree that LeBron is most likely to stay in Cleveland, but not because of the possibility of trading for Chris Paul.

If LeBron says hes staying in Cleveland no matter what, the league's best interest is to give him who he wants.

Was Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, and two picks enough for Pao Gasol?

In the end NO ends up with less salary than they started with, which is enough for them.
