Scott Van Pelt is one of the only ESPN employees I can stand. The guy doesn't randomly hate on anything like his coworkers.

 

The Knicks should and will continue to build with youth. They have 8 players under contract now (though 3 of them; Turiaf, Buike, and Curry are nothing more then fillers) and aside from those three only Stoudemire is over 25. Getting Randolph last night wasnt a terrible consolation prize.

Walsh may be retiring soon due to health concerns is the speculation with kevin pritchard being brought in. Hopefully Donnie gets well...

We're gonna need more then just Melo to beat you guys. I still think Walsh has been around too long not to have a legit plan B. We could very easily end up with another 30M +next offseason to spend.....

Well we've definitely improved, just not to the level I would have liked. I mean any way you slice it a front court of Gallo-Randolph-Amare is better then last years Gallo-Harrington-Lee.

Randolph averaged 2BPG and 6.5RPG in just 22 minutes a night. Injuries are a concern with him but he has huge upside.

 

He is from the area I live in now. I've seen him a few times. Definitely a good guy.

 

I still cannot believe LBJ is a Heat. Between him and B Marshall, this has been an insane past few months.

Yeah, building around Amare is better than building around Gallinari (and I think you're the ultimate homer every time you try to defend him, in all honesty) but the point is that when the Knicks inevitably say "We're a better team and we're going to win plenty of games," it's a lie by omission. They expected LeBron, most likely out of the typical "Why wouldn't anyone want to play in New York?" arrogant reasoning. Just like Cleveland, Chicago, and New Jersey, they gambled their offseason on one guy and lost.

Of all four teams, Chicago is in the best position, with the Knicks eventually becoming a better team once you get Carmelo and some pieces around the core of Amare and Melo. As for whether you can beat Miami... well.

Here what I do to get tickets to games. Lakers season tickets have obviously been sold out for the past 10yrs but I did put my name on a list for season tickets. Every year I put my deposit ($100) to keep my name on the list. Of course no luck yet but since I did put my deposit I get first crack before the public to buy tickets that are available even for playoffs. I dont know if the Heat have the same policy but that might be the best way to get tickets so you dont get gouged.

Mike Miller won't sign with the Heat until LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh sign their contracts.

Miller's father has verified that he's going to Miami, but can't sign his deal until the South Beach 3 wrap theirs up. The Heat got the shooter they needed and will probably start looking at point guards.
