MEH, I hate ESPN and their misleading leads. Shaq wasn't on. They talked about him.

I actually don't want Shaq to return, but it does illustrate that it will not be difficult to find players to fill out the roster. With Miller in the fold the one player I want more than any other is Haslem. I see him as one of those guys you always find on championship rosters. They do the dirty work night in and night out and every once in a while win a game with some clutch shooting.

Sources say nobody knows if he'll wear one or not.

He will announce it during a 1 hour special on NBC called "The Decision II: Decide Harder".

    That is right.

    smart structuring of the contracts.

Bron has a 5 year deal with a opt. after year 4.

    Bosh for 6 full.

Wade with 6 years with a opt. before year 6.

Very smart. The big money guys give themselves cover for the new CBA...Bosh kinda gets screwed if the CBA is friendly (which it won't be)

    Image of the night.

Burnie on his perch where he is on strike till Wade signs his deal.....

starts doing a booty dance when it gets announced...then waves a heat flag...then dances again....then puts up a sign that says that he now refuses to come down till all three sign their contracts.

So, how does the East shake out in 2010-11? I'm guessing thus:

    1 Seed: Magic
    2 Seed: Heat
    3 Seed: Celtics
    4 Seed: Bulls
    5 Seed: Knicks
    6 Seed: Hawks
    7 Seed: Bucks
    8 Seed: Cavs

Magic vs Heat in Eastern Conference Finals, kicking off the new headline rivalry in the east.

I don't see it. The Bucks have held steady while other teams have imported talent from the West. They were the 6 Seed last year and the road isn't any easier now.

I've got a lot of respect for Orlando. They have some bad contracts but they're built fundamentally well.

    It is:

    #1 Heat
#2 Magic (remember that they seed via div. champ)
    #3 Celtics
    #4 Bulls
    #5 Bucks
    #6 Hawks
    #7 Bobcats
    #8 Knicks

    Matchup advantage versus Orlando:

They play best when they push the ball.

    uh,....

pushing the ball and picking up the pace versus this heat team is a bad idea.

So Orlando would have to play a half court game.

Plus this Heat team will have the length to deal with guys like Lewis and Pietrus. Those guys wont be able to throw up 3s over shorter guys.

They already said that Chalmers wants to change to #15, which was his number in Kansas. So it is not an issue.

Marc Stein gets something right for a change...

Going back to topic touched on briefly last night: Riley just moved into West-ian territory. Exec of the Year doesn't begin to describe it 3 minutes ago
