You didn't know? Their defense is going to allow 30 points in 16 games this year. LT guaranteed a Super Bowl within two years so you know that will happen too.

    Duh! :wink2:

One mag I read had the Ravens and Packers in the SB. Too many opinions = not a real news story, just fluff to keep yoyos like us entertained.

I think the point here is that all these talking heads at ESPN are homers of one team or another...I mean, is Bruschi not biased towards the Pats ?? Golic is certainly an Eagles fan and of course the biggest homer of them all (on-air) is Berman with the jills...

So they are supposed to be somewhat non-biased. Most of them are, but that doesn't mean if they have to choose, in a certain segment, their team against another, they won't choose their team...that's human nature....I don't have issues with most of them in that respect. You just have to read/comprehend beyond their biases when you are listening...

I think you're failing to see the logic here. The Jets defense is proven, ours is not. The Jets (regardless of who they played) made it to AFC Championship, we missed the playoffs. yes, we both have unproven young QBs that need to step up their games, but given all that, the Jets deserve to be where they are ranked until proven otherwise. Just like we deserve to be at 15 until proven otherwise.

Thank you for posting last year's rankings, 5 of the 12 teams didn't make the playoffs.

Most predictions / evaluations / rankings at this time are based off of the conclusion of the previous season. Things change soooo quickly in the NFL... 1-15 to 11-5 anyone?

There are more questions about Sanchez than there are about Henne. Henne's worst game > Sanchez's worst five games. Dolphins will sweep the Jets again this year and nobody will lay down for NY to backdoor into the playoffs.

We are a team on the rise with more potential to dominate than to utterly collapse. New England is on their way down, inconsistent last year and got completely bullied in the playoffs at home. When all the network guys pick NE solely because "they still got Tom Brady", they forget NE had a WORSE record last year at 10-6 than they did the previous year with 11-5 when Matt Cassel was the QB!

Miami is the cream of the AFC East this year! Last year the Saints went from 8-8 to Super Bowl champs! Let's do it!

I don't see the point of a poll that is done a month before teams get to camp.... I mean we have no idea how the preseason is going to play out much less the regular season.

Don't get me wrong I like the 11 ranking right on the cusp where we would get in on a wildcard birth. That seems fair to me. Yes we have questions on our team, but every team has questions, every team has uncertainties. But to me whether it be paranoia or some other disorder I fell like whenever we catch a break or some thing good happens to us, there are always naysayers like these pundits trying to pull us down. Now like others say I like being the underdog, but if once in a blue moon we get a good ranking I would like some people if they have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.

True that...I think, as avid fans of a particular team, sometimes we are overly sensitive. On the other hand, I think there definitely is some media bias against the Fins, probably dating back to the 30 yr tenure of Shula and always being a consistent winner...even with Wanny we averaged 10 W's a year...

What confuses me more is how the Falcons got ranked so high. Really?

and Jets at #4 cmon now......

Overall I have us at about #9 so they weren't too far off

Im ok I guess with starting at 11th. Part of me thinks its maybe a tad bit high just because we have quite a few unknowns on the defensive side, mainly at Safety, and LB. Be interesting to see what happens there. That being said, there is definately alot of promise on the offensive side of the ball, with Henne, Ricky, Ronnie, Marshall, Hartline, Bess, and our OL. So I guess it balances out and seems fair that were that high.
