Like a ninja. He should have thrown powdered glass in everyone's faces, disappearing in a puff of smoke only to reappear in Miami, holding Pat Riley's severed head, to anounce that he is the new ruler of the Heat, and that all must swear blood oaths of fealty to him or perish. But, that is just my opinion. It would of made for a more entertaining hour of TV, and sparked many more NBA conversations if he had though.

    I agree...

I dont get it...in a world where guys usually go for the bucks..(Albert Haynsworth)...these guys took less to play together and win multiple championships. Look at there numbers..1,3,6. I honestly believe they feel the three of them can do something historic. And all of the talk that Bron cant do it on his own, that hes a traitor, its only gonna get them pissed.

Isnt it supposed be all about winning?

We are officially the Bad Boys of the new league. I don't know why people are making up all these cool nicknames for this team. They should be titled "The Villains" and nothing more. Everyone hates us. Every team. Every player. Evey coach. Every executive. Every network. Every fake *** analyst.

Oh and we love it. Absolutely. Wouldn't want it another way.

See you around Halloween time. It's going to be ugly for the rest of the league from this point on. Enjoy hating us. Enjoy the nightmares. Enjoy reality as hard as it may be. You've never seen anything like this, and you may never experience something similar again.

We are going to kick your asses, and then tell you about it.

    See you in your nightmares....

[EDIT: PS - don't take me as a douche. I love all of you! I've been through so many hard times as a Heat fan so please allow me to gloat! LOL]

I don't watch either, but I think the general sentiment is that LeBrons whole charade amplified the F'U to his home town.

How would it feel if we had a home home grown Miami superstar on our team hit FA, eat up all of our begging for him to stay for an entire season, and then go on TV and essentially say "I'm great, but I don't think o can win a championship here, so I'm going to take my show to San Diego"....and considering our history and the state of Cleveland right now, that probably isn't even a strong enough comparison.

I get that there a lot of Heat fans here who are happy, but in the eyes of an outsider that was a HUGE FU to his home town. I personally thought the circus was classless, and indicative of many of the major issues with professional athletics (and what turned me off of the NBA in particular). Huge money, huge egos, 0 love for the game and the fans that drive it.

Lebron could have left without jerking his home town around for an entire season, and embarrassing them like that on national television. That would have been the right thing to do IMO. Can't fault the guy for wanting to win, but I'm not a fan of buying championships, and I'm certainly not a fan of egos.

And FYI I don't buy the argument that he's taking less money for a second. No income tax, and more endorsement deals in a bigger market will far outweigh any money he left on the table in Cleveland. LeBron like the rest of the world thinks Cleveland is small beans, and had his eyes set on a major city. He passed up an incredible chance to build a legendary franchise for guaranteed bright lights.

Pardon, but really...Clev had 7 years to prove they were gonna build a team around Bron..they didnt get it done.

This was all about a Full Court press from #3 and Riley. Everyone sold Bron on clothing deals, big money, we r the world remakes, and the Heat trumped them all..by talking winning. We didnt buy a championship. We had a GM who wagered the hole Fn hand to get all three, and guess what? We won.

    LOL @ "buying championships."

The NBA didn't grant papal dispensation to Riley to spend more than any other team - Riley sold these guys on playing for less, together, to WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS.

THAT'S the currency that made it happen.

Yes, Nabo... I'm getting sick of that as well.

How do you "buy" a championship when there is a salary cap in place?

    This isn't baseball.

Buying a championship is commonly used to describe teams that pay top dollar to poach other teams athletes, rather than developing their own. With the Heat purging their roster and signing the top 3 agents to max contracts I'd say that it's obvious that they're trying to buy a championship rather than build one from internal talent and draft picks.

It's a legitimate approach...not one that I'm a fan of, but it's an approach none-the less. It's an approach that has blown up in the Redskins faces time and time again, an approach that has had mixed success with the Yanks, and an approach that I hope blows up in the Jets faces over the next few years.

I personally respect a team more that wins because through coaching, gauging talent, finding sleepers, and putting their players in the best position to win.

You could say much of that is going on here, we have good coaching in Spo, we'll have to gauge talent and find sleeper since we have so little cap space(and our draft this year might turn out to be pretty decent) and IMO how much more of a position to win could we have put these players in? Like you said, just collecting all stars doesn't always work so it takes more then just handing out money, I think we more then have what it takes asdie from money in order to win.

The NBA isn't like other sports. You need multiple stars, and chances are you get those stars by sucking and getting lucky in the lottery. You don't usually find great players late in the draft, solid ones yes, but not great.
