The dutch play real rough and get away with toooooooooooons of ****. I noticed the last couple of games.
havee to say that even though its borderline brutal, the dutch have so far done an excellent job of stifling the Spanish penetration...... cue lucky with the layup joke in 5,4,3,2,1....
Anything stopping spain from penetrating more native populations is a good thing IMO................... too historical?
spain the team with the least yellow cards at 4 and the dutch with the most with 17, both ways seem to work, they are both in the final
wow. that was the moment of the game. great save by Spain. God I hope this doesnt go to a shootout. Hopefully someone can win it in normal play. gotta say whoever wins deserves it. these are the two best teams in the tourney
man robben vs villa. who will score the goal? it seems those are the only two getting consistent chances
That Robben break illustrates my frustration with soccer. I hate seeing grown men roll around like ******* when they get nicked...or worse, when they don't EVEN get nicked. It's embarrassing to watch and it puts too much power in the refs hands. BUT then you get plays like that Robbens break away...the guy had a clean break, and got fouled. Had he gone down he would have gotten a red card for his team, and a free kick. But he didn't roll around like a *****, he stayed up for the extra 5 steps to try to complete the goal....which was a broken play at that point due to the foul....so instead of a man advantage, and a free kick all he gets is a missed goal. Those kinds of calls reward ****ty play. i want to see people score goals because of skill, not grown men rolling around holding their shins. But the current system rewards it the bull**** behavior. Not the worst thing to happen in this tournament by a long shot, but illustrative of why the officiating needs to be overhauled.
Every 4 years I decide to give soccer another chance and watch the championship game. Every year I come away with an even larger dislike for the game. What you pointed out is exactly why. These guys have a strategy that if they cant make a play the should jump up in the air, hit the ground and roll around. It's ridiculous and it's constant. Soccer players hit the ground more than panties in a whore house during a naval fleet's shore leave.
Two guys can't even look at the same ball without one of them walking away holding up their hands for a call. It's a hell of a game, but the whining and falls are just too hard to overlook. Irritating as ****.
wow. shootout here we come. the pressure on the dutch in a shootout will be incredible with their history
Yup, the Worlds "SOCK HER" at its finest! Why a governing body thinks this is a manly contest is beyond my true-grit spirit.
goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spain deserved it but the Dutch almost pulled it off. I hope they go back to old Dutch football after this. They went for the counter type of ball but got the same result. Go back to total football or some variant. Soccer needs more beautiful football. The Dutch and Brazil need to go back to their legacy and forget this counter stuff. Thats for inferior talent
anyone who takes a kick to the chest like that dude from spain did, I think deserves to be called a man.
