If the Dolphins go to the Superbowl this year, who do you want to play against? Who would you not want to play against? Or does it matter? I'm just curious to see what everyone will say since I believe the Lombardi Trophy is going to (and belongs) in Miami this year.
Heck I would be so happy to get to the SB, I wouldn't care one bit who it was against. I guess you would want to beat the reigning Champs, the Saints.
Without a doubt, it wouldn't matter who if we really were there....I mean, would it really matter ?? I would be ecstatic....it could be the Saints, Eagles, Cowboys, G-men, Rams, Cards, Bears, Seahawks...does it really matter????
I have no preference. I don't know what I'd do if they did make it to the super bowl. They been there once since I've been alive and I was only one year old. But I would probably take a week off of work to either party like never before if they won, or to go into solitude if they lost.
I'd want to play against: Vikings Packers Saints Cowboys just to make it an interesting game, but honestly, it wouldn't matter...just as long as we won!
I remember the last two SB losses all too well and believe me it hurts real bad to get that close and lose. I really wouldn't care who we play as long as we win if we get there. After all these years it would be tough to go through that again. I still don't think we are ready yet but miracles do happen.
It really wouldn't matter but I would have to say the Cowboys. My dad is a hardcore Cowboys fan and I remember seeing a video of Super Bowl VI when they beat us 24-3. So I wanted some revenge
The Saints .We played them well enough to win last year yet we lacked the defense to hold them when we needed to. We have a new DC and you can bet we are going to be better on defense .Lets finish the job by beating them in the SB.
wait...so if we beat the young '72 Phins and went undefeated, would the old '72ers still pop their champagne, being that the Phins are still the only undefeated team?
Beating the cowgirls in their house would be quite thrilling!!!! We could play the ultimate underdog role the entire year... Which this team does well!
While I agree that just getting there and beating ANY NFC team would be great... It would be a bit more special to beat the Niners (revenge for 84), Cowboys (in their own house), or the Packers (good friend is a HUGE fan). Pretty much everything would have to go right for the Phins to get there, but that's pretty much true for every team that gets to a Super Bowl right? As Sparano would say, "Why NOT US!?!"
Aw man. That's a jinx. That's the kind of stuff that shows up all over Pats and Jets message boards later in the season when they mock our expectations.
Actually, who we beat or play in the SB would be secondary to who we beat in the AFC to get to the SB....IMHO, if we played and beat the jests in the AFC Championship game, it would be like winning the SB to me...
I think I'd enjoy to beating the Cowboys most. The team I'd least like to face is the Packers. I think they'd be a tough match-up and I don't really have anybody on that team that I really dislike. I also don't think this is a jinx (assuming you believe in jinxes). There's a difference between asking who would be your most favored and least favored opponent if you made the SB and assuming that you're going to make a SB. While there are different levels of optimism on this board and I certainly think making the SB is possible, I haven't seen anybody claim it's likely much less a certainty. I haven't even seen anybody claim we should be the favorite. What I have seen is some who believe we have enough developed talent to be in the hunt and some who don't.
I dont care who we play were going to win regardless. out of the teams in the NFC i think have a shot to make it (How i believe their going to be seeded) 1. Cowboys 2. Packers 3. Saints 4. 49ers 5. Vikings 6. Giants (Teams who will just miss out but could take a wildcard spot) -. Panthers -. Cardinals -. Falcons -. Bears I would like to play the Giants cause thats my dads team or the 49ers cause they beat them last time.
