    Lets put it this way,

A: Will Taylor do the punch the heart if he sacks Henne? I say yes

B: Will Taylor want nothing more than to beat us and get sacks doing so? I say yes.

I lost a ton of respect for him with his first go around in trying to get out. Going to the Jets did not help that (I understand they are the only team that wanted him)

But yes, when he retires, Taylor and Zack should be in the ring of honor.

The problem I have is people claiming "he did what he had to do" he BLASTED jet fans saying how it would be the last place he would play, then he turns around and signs with them? And don't tell me they were only ones that took him, he knew he could still play, and teams knew that as well. He would of signed eventually. I understand the whole wanting to win the championship deal, but do you think Zach didint want to? He turned down Patriots after their (almost) perfect season. It's just s matter of values. Zach diidnt care about the fact that Patrtiots were favored to win, he knew they were the enemy.
JT sold out on ny, talked all that trashed, and then signed. What does that tell you?

It is personal though. You go to work with the same guys year after year against a common enemy and all you can think of is beating them and making them look bad.

Here's another comparison lets say I went to war against the French and then the French call me ten yrs after I have been fighting against them and offer me a spot to fight the USA with them. What would I say...uh...NO.

Its the difference between someone who loves the game and is just in it for the money. Case in point countless others in this same position. John Starks spends his whole career battling MJ and the Bulls and then at the end of his career gets traded there...he was MISERABLE. "Its not right". He said numerous times. "I have spent my whole career facing this team, now I am wearing their colors.". Dan Marino wouldn't go to Pitt. ZT wouldn't dream of going to NE. Its just an unwritten rule in sports man.

No you don't cheer for him. He decided to join the one team that he personally went out of the way to bash his entire career. Did he have the right to do that, of course. Am I expected to still be on his side?

Absol****inglutely not. I'll cheer for him again when/if he's enshrined as a Dolphin into the HOF. Otherwise he can rot in Jersey

I'm going to be at the game when the Jets come to town on SNF. What will I do when he runs onto the field? Nothing. He doesn't deserve a reaction from me. Will others boo or yell? Yes. People are idiots and live in the moment.

Do you really believe JT expects Miami to cheer for him in a JET GREEN uniform? I think he would expect Phin Fans to stand tall and root 100% PHINS.

In my mind he was/is a worthy Dolphin therefore he becomes a worthy enemy, while on the field of play! As a man and person I've enjoyed watching grow into the probowler he is in a Dolphins jersey; he is and always will be as class an act as Dan Marino imvho.

    Yea, JT, go dolphins!!

I say f him and shoot the horse he rode in on....

In all honesty the only thing I am rooting for when it comes to JT is that he Anne's it through the season healthy and that he retires. Hopefully the jets will put his name on their ring of honor cause he no longer deserves to by on the fins...

Will I cheer for Jason Taylor (he is no longer "JT", the puke green stench has covered that up) when he takes the field?

    Sure.

I'll cheer when Big Lou Polite buries his helmet in Taylor's gut, I'll cheer when Ronnie or Ricky trucks him, and I'll cheer when Vern Carey pancakes him.\

There will be lots of cheering.

As long as he wears a Jet uniform he is dead to me. Well perhaps not so much dead to me as rotting and festering. I will hate his very existence until the day he retires a Dolphin. He made his bed let me him lay in it as I light it on fire...

I'm with you brother. In fact I am booing him as I type this.

When he is retired I will cheer. But it's the Jets, he knew what he was doing signing with them. Its almost as if he's sticking it to Miami fans for his differences with the front office. So for now I'll boo.

JT imo stabbed us all in the back signing with the Jets. I will not cheer for him until he takes off that disgusting Jets jersey that even he has hated since becoming a Phin 1997!

I'll die before I root for a Jet, I don't care who he is. It could be my favorite player of all time, Ricky Willliams, in a Jet uniform and I'd boo him as loud as I can from my home in Florida.

There's things that I don' do in life. One of them is rooting for the Jets.

I refuse to applaud Jason Taylor while he's wearing the colors of the enemy. Do you think Jets fans cheer for Pennington or will cheer for Douglas in the upcoming season? Not a chance because they are now wearing the colors of their enemy.

Bottom line: Taylor is a Jet, and I don't cheer for Jets.

At Stanford University they have an electro-staic tunneling microscope. This microscope is so powerful that it can actually see atoms, in atoms, of other atoms. If I was using that microscope right now I couldn't find my interest in Jason Taylor.

As far as giving him a cheer when he shows up at Miami I think that would be a classy move. As a Yankees fan we always remember those players that played well for us when they return to town on opposing teams. Once the game starts you root like hell against him but before the game to give him a standing ovation would be classy

I knew this would be a divisive thread and glad i see passion on all sides!

My take is you cheer loudly for the mans acomplishments down in Miami during introductions. You let him know he was appreciated. But I'm so for booing his *** into the ground on any play he gets owned.

I created this thread to get some passion and anger going, stirring the pot. But suprised by how many people hate on him.

While he did go to the enemy, he knew we have moved on! Nolan wants a young core of athletes that he can mold into a defense that is his. (IMO)

We saw our defense last season crumble late and it was cuz the older players IMO. While Jason did not fit us, the Jsts have a strong defense or the idea they are strong . They can use a cheap pass rusher and depth.

While Marino never went anywhere thank god. IF MARINO PLAYED ONE LAST SEASON ON ANOTHER TEAM AND WON THE SUPERBOWL WOULD YOU BE HAPPY FOR HIM?

JT played pretty damn good last year. His stats were only slightly down from some of the years in his prime. AND he was not used correctly so get it right.

I can't stand him for going to the Jets, and for wanting out when he was traded to Washington. Your hatred goes way beyond that. Far enough away that you fabricate things to try and make a point. I mean yeah, screw him now but .......

Taylor disappeared as the season went on.
Five and a half of his seven sacks were in the first seven games
You'll see this season that he is totally washed up

if he has a good year statistically then he is helping the ny jets.

    **** THAT.

i hope he fails miserably. i hope he doesnt sniff a sack (lol)

i hope he has zero impact for that pathetic head coach and that **** talking team.

i hope he sucks so bad jet fans shower him with boo's

i hope he puts his head down in absolutle shame everytime he puts on that puke green uniform, and i hope he retires after the season and retires a dolphin, and we put his name in the ring of fame.

but as long as it is

jason taylor -- new york jet
