I think Henne has to show something in camp or else he's out. We drafted a highly touted pure passer in Pat White as insurance in case he doesn't show it and quite frankly I think Henne is on thin ice.

He's a good prospect but we are loaded with Wr's at the moment.

Johnson, Pruitt, Wallace, big guys who all can run.

Oh absolutely he pushes out Dotson, based on what I've seen on tape.

And about Ikaika, first off the fact that he was the best DL on the Lions' line during their 0-16 year doesn't exactly speak highly of him like you'd think. Secondly, the fact they rated him better than Cliff Avril is just another data point in my "why I never trust PFF's ratings" table. But actually, now that I look...they have Corey Smith and Langston Moore rated higher.

One big adjustment that PFF needs is some sort of efficiency adjustment. For instance, guys that have 1000 snaps are more likely to be rated in the low or high double-digits. Guys with lower snap counts are going to have lower numbers. This fits with what I've heard about their summing process to come up with the (misguided) ratings. That's a problem, it really is. Because people like (insert media name here) just go through a list of 75 defensive tackles or something and find one guy with a -0.7 rating and talk about how he's the #23 ranked DT compared with some guy who played a whole lot more than him who is #57 or whatever with a -3.7 rating.

Well, as for the 0-16 Lions, individual talent can be stuck on bad teams, we have several leftover from the 1-15 team most are starters.

Well, IAF was the only Dlinemen with no negatives in any category, on a craptacular team with little discipline a rotational player remaining out of the red is noticeable.

He's a sort of typical Ireland/Sparano type of pickup, freakish physical talent that they give a shot to see what they have, IAF has the tools, he sat out all of 09, if he is a hungry player that time should have given him a chance to get straightened out.

As for the Rankings stuff on PFF..totally agree, I never bother with them as they do not project very well for a player, one season is totally different from the next.

Meaning being the "#33 overall DT" means nothing at all, things such as penalties, and game by game rankings and production and who they produced against, or failed against, is far more telling for me.

IAF is 6-4/280ish and ran a 4.75, he has been in the Conditioning Program for 8 months, if he has anything to offer as a NFLer this is the best chance he has had since he was drafted in 07.

I hated to see Jones go, but he was never going get a chance to start up against Allen, Davis and Smith. Carroll was considered a preseason top tier CB and broke his leg in his first game. Any evaluations are based on his junior year. IMHO he was our steal of the draft.
