Mike B. Brandon Marshall is a Venus Flytrap. Guy catches everything. No wonder it was so obvious when he started dropping balls in Denver practice
Anyone with anything on AJ Wallace, rookie DB from Penn State? Im interested in this kid and wonder if anyone has heard anything about him in camp....
I don't buy that because if he were that lazy, Tony and Jeff would not have kept him around even this long.
yeah i scouted him in four games last year. Results 2 good performances and two average performances. you may be right and he may be lazy
didnt know that. i would never have drafted him but as a free agent he's worth a shot. i dont expect much from him and too be honest i dont expect him to even make the practice squad but we'll see. he has an outside shot IMO
I thought Marshall has had a drop problem since the getgo though. He didn't "develop" the dropsies, he's had it all along. of course he's had massive catches to go with them. Top 3, I wouldn't put him there. But he's top 5-6 maybe. that's in my opinion.
I don't see how a guy with over 100 catches three straight years can be considered to have a problem with dropping the ball. Have to disagree here. I think Marshall has to be considered a top three receiver. If one considers Andre Johnson the best active WR in the NFL and Larry Fitzgerald the second, then you have to take into account that Marshall is basically a faster Larry Fitzgerald. Their stats are pretty similar, though Marshall has the physical edge over Fitz. Not sure which receivers you'd place ahead of Marshall. Randy Moss? I can see an argument for Moss being in the top three, but I don't think he bumps Marshall out. Reggie Wayne? Wayne is amazing, but he's not better than Marshall. Who am I missing?
Calvin Johnson? Miles Austin? Vincent Jackson? DeSean Jackson? Roddy White? Greg Jennings? I'm not saying I'd put any of them above Marshall. I think AJ and Fitz are #1 and #2, and Marshall is definitely top 3-5.
I don't think any of those guys are better than Brandon Marshall. Vincent Jackson and Roddy White are the closest, but not better. I especially admire Roddy White for his 2007 season; 1200 receiving yards with three different jobbers rotating at QB is impressive. I think Marshall rounds out the top three pretty handily. I'd even place him in a tie for 2nd with Fitzgerald, in all honesty.
Good to hear Hartline is playing well and making plays - guy is turning into a fantastic fourth round pickup. It will be his job to make teams pay for doubling Marshall, because they will. Secondary seems to be making some plays, but Smith seems to not really be developing. Davis seems to be getting better, and we know what Will Allen can do, but Sean just kind of seems stuck in the same spot for now, needs to kick it up a notch, especially if we have issues getting pressure during the season. Will be interesting to see how the OL dominoes fall. Hopefully they will be good and consistent. Give Henne time to throw and Marshall WILL make defenses pay. IMO hes behind Andre Johnson only right now. Fitz is good and about equal, but Marshall is more physical and seems to break bigger plays. Randy Moss is still dangerous but not consistent enough and his age may start to catch up quickly, once the speed and step is gone, he is done. Calvin Johnson may be the most talented wideout, but he needs to be more consistent and the Detroit offense needs to develop more before I consider him a top 3. None of the other guys mentioned have done it as consistently as Andre, Brandon and Larry have.
Why? Because you don't like to hear it? Or the video brought up bad memories? I can't say I blame you if its the latter.
