Wow wow wow......this is getting ugly gentlemen...liked the kid, too bad... Dolphins RB Kory Sheets is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles' tendon in Wednesday morning's practice. Unfortunately, it's going to be a career-threatening injury for Sheets. He was already a longshot for a roster spot behind Lex Hilliard and Patrick Cobbs this summer. The Dolphins will end up releasing him with an injury settlement.
Adalius Thomas makes more sense as he knows the scheme. We have replacements for those guys we lost on hand, but still...ouch.
dude what the hell is going on down there!!!!!???? This is typical Dolphin luck, everything look good, then BOOM the crap starts hitting the fan.... I'm sorry mods for blowing up, I am upset....
From what was most likely a starting job, TO GETTING CUT WITH AN INJURY SETTLEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!! See how quick this can change.... Meanwhile things are just ducky here in Foxboro!!!!! Everything is going off without a hitch....I need a drink....
He was never starting IMO. Probably KR but that's about it. Nolan Carroll may be able to assume KR duties. He's who I've figured to win it.
Anyone know why we haven't looked at this guy yet? He played for Nolan didn't he? Is it just that the F.O. is happy with what we have on the outside already?
Thats what I am talking about not RB.....the jury was out, the speed was there, Sheets had it on him, before Carroll started playing Superman...
He's just not very good IMO. He was made a player by Rex Ryan in Baltimore and then when he went to New England, he fell apart.
Well, it is what it is FY, I was as large of a Sheets fan as anyone, but these things happen. We have some depth to sort through, now Ryan Grice Mullen and Nolan Carrol are fighting for Sheets reps at KR, Folsom is getting a real shot in the nickel ILB, and Wallace was invisible anyway. 3 roster spots, we've lost 2 Camp Db's, 1 Rb, 1 ILB that need replacing, Douglas and Grant will duke it out for Merling's job, along with Odie. Let's see who Irish brings into Camp, unless it is a Vet, I'd prefer Sparano whittle things down a bit more quickly than usual as imho that is a part of the reason for the slow starts. For the intrepid, I'd bet Boomer's Draft Winds has the names of the players Irish is looking through, they will be players who have come in for a vist..or they visited. And I think Shawn Crable will be on the radar..just a hunch on that though.
It's cool man we are all upset. Just have to push on and hope the worst is over. If there is a silver lining there is time
I'm sure they don't wish to bring him in if they feel he will gum up Misi,Wake and Francis's conversion to OLB, however as a role player he would have real value in Nolan's first yr in Miami.
Yeah, and my disappointment over that ended and turned to good vibes when I watched about 4 games of Marques Douglas.
In the sense that Merling has been replaced with someone better, where Edds has not been, I would actually say the injury to Edds is the most significant thus far.
Wallace quit, which is not unusual for a Sparano Traning Camp. What is that #4 or #5 that just walked off? Spitler must have done something because he has been frozen out.
But Sheets was the fastest guy on the team, and he was our true change of pace back. I even created a backstory for him...Kory was always picked on as a child for his explosive burst (hahaha nah, who cares?).
Wallace quit, huh. Where did you hear that? You're right, Tony does seem able to run them off if they don't have the heart.
Damn. Donald Butler out for season. Torn Achilles. He's a guy I really liked coming out. Sucks for SD, who traded Dobbins to us.
Not unusual for SparanoPhins to wind up in Hartford, as for AJ Wallace, Sparano is good about keeping an open door, ?Sir Vincent Rogers walked off and they gave him another shot this year. Now he is in..Hartford of the UFL.
Really? That is bad news for them, he can play the run quite well, and is better than you might expect in coverage.
