Kobe being more "clutch" than LeBron might be the biggest myth in the history of myths.

Its right up there with Jordan winning by himself. Jordan was 1-9 in the playoffs until he got Pippen. He refused to play for anyone other than Phil Jackson. His team won 50 games without him. He was hardly winning by himself.

Kobe didn't win **** by himself.

LeBron single handedly took his team to the Finals.

In the EAST. Given the fact the West #8 team probably would of been a 1 or 2 seed in the east is a big difference. Hence why Lebron was SWEPT in the Finals.

    Don't be ridiculous.

he beat the Pistons to get to the Finals. That Piston team was damn good.

You should know. They smashed your lakers.

They sure did. Lakers had to many internal issue and the team imploded. Like Pat Riley says "Rebounding wins championship" something the 07 team didnt have since Ben Wallace was gone. They werent as good as when they smacked the Lakers. So again you're wrong he didnt beat the same team the Lakers lost too.

    SO "Again" I am wrong?

    Wrong about what?

Imploded? They MADE THE FINALS. They just GOT BEAT. They didn't "implode". Imploding is what the Heat did the season after they won it.

That Piston team won 53 games and was a #1 seed. The Team that beat the Lakers won 54.

Ben Wallace? really? that is the big difference?

That Piston team added Webber and had the best record in the league from the time they added him.

    rebounding you say?

look up the difference between the two. Minimal to NONE at all.

BTW in that season...as to your ridiculous statement..the lakers were the 8th seed at 42 wins..and would have been 2 games from being out of the playoffs in the East. So there was no difference whatsoever in the regular season between the conferences.

Anyway, regular season records reflect the competition and the West is traditionally top heavy with a ton of bottom feeders while the east is more spread out.

so your excuse is not much of one at all. he made the finals, period. Over a good Pistons team.

Yes they imploded. The whole team was dysfunctional by the time the reach the finals. It was a team of stars that couldnt work together including Phil. It's not the team with the most superstars that wins a championship, it's how well those players play with each other against top competition. Detriot was the better TEAM.

Again your wrong. From the time Webber (1/16/2007) signed with the pistons to the end of the season they were Tied for the 4th best record. They were tied with Toronto in the East for the best record from that time frame.

    Dallas 35-7
    Phoenix 32-13
    San Antonio 31-12
    Toronto 29-14
    Detroit 29-14

    I am not wrong.

YOU were arguing about the EAST.

Your numbers are wrong BTW, but even then, they show they had the best record in the east from the time he signed.

So...NO..I am not wrong. You were. again.

BTW..what a coincidence that they "imploded" in the FINALS. They couldn't possibly be beaten.

You make the Finals..that is not imploding.

    BTW

Piston 2004 NBA Finals vs. Lakers (Shaq)
    +62 Rebounding Differential

Pistons 2007 ECF w/o Wallace vs. Cavs. ( Ilgauskas)
    +10 Rebounding Differential

That's a HUGE difference. Far from minimal like you said.

IMO the Lakers had a good team but couldnt work together to win a championship. They could of easily lost the series vs the Spurs had it not been for a ridiculous Derek Fisher Buzzer beater.

Read what you wrote. Unless my eyes decieve me you said in the League.

Now do some simple math. The number dont lie buddy any way you try to spin them.

    Standing the day Webber signed.

    End of the season standings.

And I was not arguing about the east i said the 2004 Pistons were better then 2007.

WHY reduce it to ONE series?

Look at the ENTIRE season, including the playoffs. The difference is minimal.

YES. LET's DO some simple math.

You seem to have a problem with your arithmetic.

There are 82 games in a NBA season.

They were 21-15 when they signed Webber.

    They finished 53-29.

That means they were 32-14 WITH Webber. NOT 29-14. THAt is the best record int eh East.

You were comparing teams from 2004 to 2007. The team that Lebron beat in 2007 was just as good as any of the Piston teams.

I find it hilarious that there has to be some type of excuse in your mind for Lebron making the Finals. he made the finals. Period. he beat a damn good Piston team.

or by your standard, did the Heat beat the best Piston team of all-time in 2006, since they had the best record in the league? #1 seed is a #1 seed. period.

You also forget that Tayshaun Prince was not an All-star in the 2003-04 season. he was just a defensive stopper.

If it makes you feel better, Lebron beat nobody, the playoffs were rigged and the Pistons that year, threw the games. he really did not make the Finals that year, and everything he ever accomplishes won't count, because YOU say so.

    happy? :shifty:

Pistons 04 > 07. That's it. Lebron still the best player in the league. Im not questioning that. The Piston as a team played better in 04. If they didnt they wouldnt have gone out and got webber but that wasnt enough. No need to take offence to it. If you dont agree well that's fine too.

Field goal percentage is one of the most important stats in basketball, i could average 20 points a game if they just gave me the ball to shoot all day and i didnt care if i had to make a decent amount of them.
