Watched [IMG]tonight. A very interesting concept imo, and it was nice to see a vampire movie that wasn't designed to cater to 13 year old girls.

half nelson. good movie. Very surprising that i enjoyed it so much. Not too long, doesn't really drag, good acting by all, not too corny, just a good movie.

I don't need to watch a chick flick to get laid. Some are just good regardless of the genre they fall into. Guys who say they don't watch them are liars...except maybe single guys.

Clash of the Titans (new version) - nifty CGI, but nowhere close to the original in character development or plot IMO.

    Little Black Book.

I popped the DVD in as background while I did stuff around the house and ended up watching. And unexpectedly liking it a lot.

Surprisingly strong story and writing, and the acting was superb as well.

And it reminded me how much I like Carly Simon's music.

I was jonesing to watch some football @ 4am, and the closest I could get was by watching [IMG]early this morning. I'd never seen it unedited, and thankfully it wasn't. Much funnier rated 'R'. But then I guess everything is, isn't it?

Saw the new Clash of the Titans last night. Man that was disappointing. How you can have so many good actors and not get attached to any of them says something about the script. As much as I liked Worthington in Terminator and Avatar, he was so the wrong choice for this movie. Plus the fact that they screwed up the mythology so badly. At least the first one was 80% accurate.

    :knucks:

Agreed! I just couldn't get into the story, the effects were cool, even though they were a little cheesy, but the magic of the original story was lost. And yeah, Worthington was a bad Perseus, no disrespect to him, the dialogue was pretty generic and didn't feel like it was from that time, it was rubbish. I did enjoy the brief shot of the owl! lol

Just watched Stripes again on DVD. Amazing, what a confluence of raw talent in that movie, how many actors had their first roles in it or their breakout roles. Way too many to name.

And astoundingly, it's almost 30 years old and despite having some cold war elements to the comedy, it's not a bit dated.

Ivan Reitman made some amazingly good flicks.

Great movie. Can't believe it took me this long to see it.

Saw The Expendables and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.

Both were good....Pilgrim was better, although meant for a really specific niche crowd which will hurt it's box office big time.

Inception - A.Maz.Ing. Possibly the best movie I've seen all year.
Dinner for Schmucks - Had some funny parts, but I was generally disappointed that it wasn't funnier (or at least that it was very boring for stretches).

Ip Man - Freakin' sweet. Donnie Yen ripped some fools up.
Speed Racer - Hadn't seen it before, and was skeptical, but it was very entertaining. Had great visuals and sound, but was also just generally very good IMO.
