not really..it is their preseason. They are a couple of weeks away from EPL competition.

They give a ****. Today they got dismantled by a bad MLS team (KC).

Wednesday...the MLS all-stars and as much of the first team of United will face off. That will be a nice one.

TBH, didn't see the game so I'll check out tomorrow's game to see how they are doing. But I think you said it all... preseason... more about individual form than team form.

I rather not flippantly dismiss the results either. fergie isn't. Especially since the MLS teams are not playing their first teamers the entire way through either.

if you all have ever watched the MLS all-star game every year. The match is played full tilt and taken seriously by all involved. This will be a very good match tomorrow.

I wish ESPN would use the world cup interface/look for their MLS games.

God damn...first of all...very entertaining match. it could have easily been 6-5 Man U.

A ton of chances..played like an all-star game.

MLS has to decide if they want to take the all-star game seriously or not.

Previous years..they trained for 5 days prior to the match and forced players that were going to participate to have at least a 6 day hiatus leading into the all-star game.

This time..they trained for 1 day, and then only trained with about 75% of the squad.

That strategy made for a hard fought 1-0 victory over Chelsea a couple of years ago, and the very entertaining Everton PK win last year.

On the good side...Man U is DEEP. REAL DEEP.

70,000 people in Houston for this game, a ton of red jerseys.

Chichirito got his goal. The stadium erupted.

Very entertaining match. But they gotta decide if it will be like this (entertaining, wide open, up and down, pick up football..) OR competitive..try to win soccer.

    great night for MLS.

I'm finishing up watching this game. Man Utd has a lot of youngsters in. Scholes, Berbatov and Giggs seem to be the only guys of the EPL XI. This is a whole lot of school boy play though. This game is awful to watch. Berbatov is doing heel flicks often and losing the ball. This is just ugly lol.

It was worse than that. KC took out half their 1st team at halftime and switched Keepers.

The Man U fans on their message boards were freaking out over this match.

Then were happy with their all-star showing.

IMO, it should be the opposite. The MLS screwed up their all-star squad this year. The KC and Philly games were the ones they needed to use to develop their roster.

In short...very deep squad..but Man U has not had a impressive preseason. They finish up with a team in Mexico before training for their opener.

I don't see why Man Utd fans would freak out. Yes, it was a poor showing but most of these youngsters aren't going to see much playing time in the season. I wouldn't be concerned if I was them. I'm not a big fan of Berbatov though, never was really.

I think they will fine once the EPL season rolls around.

How do you guys see your favorite teams on TV or the computer? I've got DirecTv... they offer the Sports Pack which includes the Fox Soccer Channel ($12.99 per mo), they show a portion of EPL games live, and then some are recorded and shown later. Now, they offer Fox Soccer Plus, a separate subscription of $14.99 per mo, which shows other EPL games live (as well as a bunch of rugby) and some other games recorded. Seems a bit steep if I want to watch the Liverpool matches only... I'd rather not watch them on the computer, but perhaps that's the only option.

Here in Canada, I watch on Sportsnet and The Score.
Plus TSN2 will be showing games now too.
If I can't see Arsenal on those, I'll just go to http://atdhe.net/watchtv.html

I signed up on Liverpools official site for the matches, although I don't think they are shown live... hey it's better than nothing and I can hook up my laptop to my HD TV via HDMI... just no sound thru the speakers... or I haven't figured out how to do that yet...

I know some people who have ordered foxsoccer.tv to watch games. Have heard both good and bad stories. Im thinking about going for it. Arsenal.com only has live game audio and im not dropping 49 bucks for that and some highlights/interviews.

I'm surprised that DirecTv doesn't put together a better package for soccer. They have one for the MLS. But nothing really for the other leagues where you are gauranteed to watch your club live. As it is now, with FSC and FSPlus on separate subscription plans, that's totally idiotic IMO. When I spoke with a DTV rep yesterday I told her as much.

Agreed. No good soccer plans anywhere other than Dish Network, of all places (really?). They're the only ones who get FSC HD right now (at least as far as I've seen). I had Direct TV and just went back to cable (moved to an apt with no correct-facing dish abilities), and I really miss Direct TV - far better than cable. But FSC is still not in HD for either DirectTV or cable. What gives? It sucks to watch so many matches in crappydef.

Was thinking of getting the MLS ticket thing, but depends on if the matches are in HD or not. I can't stand paying extra for a package of something to not have HD

I agree with fsc and fox soccer plus being on different plans is ******ed. How many times last year did they put like a wigan-sunderland on fsc and everton-chelsea on fox soccer plus. Such a bummer. I hope espn2 keeps up the saturday 730 am game every week and the occasional tuesday 245 games. Is a pain to wake up for but watching soccer in hd rules. Anyone with brighthouse know what the deal with fsc hd is? I keep seeing that its now available but haven't seen it anywhere. Espn deportes usually shows a dutch, german and spanish league game a day on the weekends. I know you can order Gol tv for a couple bucks a month on bright house. They have a buttload of games but I'm not sure from which leagues ex brazilian league is on right now.

Guys, if your going to watch it online try ATDHE.NET there is a pretty decent amount of games available. Not much drop out from my experience.

DirecTV have BY FAR the most European action.

They have all of the Europa Cup games from the round of 16 on. They showed 50% of La Liga last games last year and plan to do the same this year

There's a block of UEFA channels in the high 400s

CL is showed on FSC. It is a bummer that it's not in HD on DTV, but I can live without it considering all the UEFA action they provide. GolTV has La Liga, Bundesliga, and Coppa Italia games. Also some South American games too.

ESPN2 shows La Liga and EPL.

It's actually really great to be a soccer fan in the USA nowadays. I remember just in 2003 when there was no possible way for me to watch the Juve-Madrid Semi-final of the CL unless I went to a place in the Spanish section of Newark with a special satellite

And considering he's done nothing in his career thus far but be a major thorn in Inter's side. He's a prima donna and Man City would be stupid to overpay for him.

Talent alone won't get you very far. Just ask Ricardo Quaresma

I heard there might be discussion of Bellamy reuniting with his old manager at Fulham.

    That might be good...

would rather arsene get mertesacker and akinfev for less than balotelli what balotelli would cost total.

Really, really dislike adebayor. Dude has absolutely no club loyalty at all. I've also heard bellamy might go on loan to spurs which makes no sense but whatever.

quaresma needs to just come back to portugal.

I'm with you on Adebayor and Quaresma.

Hey mate, welcome to the boards! Ask ScottishFin. :)

Anyone watching this Brazil / USA game? Man Brazil is loaded with talent. Neymar I've heard of before but this is the first time I've watched him and he's mega talented. Fourteen of the twenty three players on the roster have 1 CAP or none at all.

Forgot all about this game, just turned it on. Feel that the Brazil goal could have been better defended, although so far I'm quite enjoying the game!
