What a perfectly picked pass. Pato really is a great prospect, took it round the keeper and a composed finish. Two great passes in there.
Overrated in the past but these youngsters are extremely talented IMO. They have ridiculous talent all over the pitch. I'm no US born. Bosnian born. I'm a little in the dark over US soccer, admittedly.
I wasn't around back then to witness great players like Gazza, Laudrup, De Boers etc, so I'm used to it. Although once we are out of our current 'situation' we can easily be great again.
Like I've been saying.... Neymar is going to be one of the best players in the world by 2014. Probably a lot sooner. Glad to see Pato back and doing his thing as well. I love this young squad. They're going to be so good. Prospect wise this team is STACKED as usual. To the max.
I've always followed Rangers but they will never be great again unless they can play in a more competitive league. Unfortunately for them and Celtic {Grrr!} they need better quality football. They would be better off playing in the Championship in England for a season and getting promoted where they could build on that and attract top quality players. Unfortunately I can't see that happening
I saw Pato play in a pre season thingy at Arsenal with Milan this month and he looked good, young as well. I agree he could be a quality player. Brazil just dont play well as a team though. Something needs to change there
I don't really think that's the issue for Brazil.... at least not in the World Cup. The issue was personnel. They pretty much had the wrong players out there. They are playing very well together right now for a young inexperienced group. Almost looks like vintage Brazil. Well, that's probably going too far but they have a lot to look forward to.
EPL season starts this weekend. Everyone else going to be all eyes? I will be glued Sunday morning to the Arsenal and LFC game. Here's to Arsenal winning!
I do love the way Arsenal play, but I don't really like Liverpool. I like to see Birmingham City do well.
Oh so you're a bear? Good man! Can't ever see us being accepted into the English league unfortunately, if we were then we would be up there with the 'big boys' after a few seasons. We do have some quality players to build a base around just now though.
Alarm clock on my iPhone is already set for Sunday morning.... Another Arsenal EPL fan? Nice. Definitely looking forward to your evaluations.
Arsenal needs another goalie and defender. We won't win the EPL because of a lack of reliable goalie IMO. It's a shame that US goal was waived off. That was a great volley by Kljestan and finish by Bradley.
That was a fantastic tackle! It can only go one of two ways hahahah. Well won by Altidor there and good little run forward.
Haha, I don't want to go too far and sound crazy here but the player has loads of talent. If he keeps working hard, he's going to be class IMO.
I've been impressed by the youngsters physicality. They haven't given up any cheap balls nor have they allowed the US to get anything easy.
Gonzo (sp?) has done well this game IMO. Has made some decent passes. That was a nice strike too, just inaccurate ball placement. Nice power on it though.
It sure is nice to finally see a player step up and play consistently well throughout the course of a game in that historic #10 for Brazil. Haven't seen that in quite some time if you know what I mean.
US should have had a couple goals in the small opportunities they had IMO. The header by Bradley was very nice. Too bad it was offsides. I would have given it to them just because of the beauty work done by Bradley and Kljestan lol. That last one should have been a finish too.
God I need to visit Brazil soon.... before I do something stupid like marry this girl. Just looking into the stands man. ThePhins road trip - who is down?
Completely agree. Shame that the US didn't get a goal or two. From what I have seen, Brazil has dominated the game, credit to the US for keeping disciplined and not started fouling due to frustration.
Despite the result it was a great game to watch. Anyway guys, great talking to you, 3:05AM here, so I'm off to my bed.
