Just an FYI for those that have Sirius.... and even if you don't you can get a free online trial. They'll broadcast live from the training camp facility for four hours! Lots of player interviews and very likely interviews with Sparano and Ireland (maybe even Parcells). These guys do a great job of discussing the important position battles one by one. Worth catching, wish I could listen to the whole thing while I'm at work. :shifty:

Thanks Paul, i needed to look that up but you saved me from having to do so.

Even better we got Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan. These two will actually discuss players who are new, rookies, surprises, position battles. Their breakdowns and explanations are the best on Sirius NFL IMO.

As near as I can tell, they don't archive the entire show... they rebroadcast the daily shows once, late at night... Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan's show is called Moving the Chains. The rebroadcast is from 1am ET to 5am ET according to this schedule:

    http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/Page&c=Channel&cid=1104779628676&s=sched

If someone has the ability to archive and upload to a site, I'm sure that would be well received here, but probably a big "no no" with Sirius...:shifty:

They have also been posting one select interview per camp visit on the sirius website.

If you leave your radio on in the car just record it at 3. Should be able to record most of it, then listen when you get back to your vehicle. Just an option if you have a sat radio

With a half hour to go until the show starts, this is a good time to bump this and point out that a "free" trial of Serius Radio takes 3 minutes to sign up for.

I can do a coles notes for those without access..i'm at the office listening online.

    EDIT:

    It's starting...

    Kirwan, Ryan, Cowher - Hosts

-Cowher talking to coaches all day, lots of good info comming.
    - Henne/Marshall being interviewed - Offense segment

Henne on Marshall: Explosive, big play ability, downfield, gets in position Marshall will do that for them.
Marshall on what they can expect from him: same as he's always played.
Cowher: what is mindset comming in this year after last years seasons.
Henne: How efficient can we be. We weren't last year. Learn to check it down or throw away if situation calls for it.
Marshall on with other recievers in MIA: Approach camp to get better, compete, coach each other up, self teaching, lean on each other, don't just wait for coaches to teach them, owness is on them too.

COwher to BM on MIA being a running team: He's not used to it, he doesn't care about his stats, he wants the team to score touchdowns.

Henne on Davone: Num. one efficient guy, wonderful job, with BM comming in he teaches them, how to run better routes, how to get seperation they will learn great techniques from BM.

BM on hip: no issues, two a days full speed

BM on corners here comparatively: Vontae is looking great from his preperation. In the film rooms, asking BM how he approaches corners. SS wants to be great, really competes, will keep comming after you as a WR. Doesn't settle for good, wants to be great.

Kirwan on Henne about the Buzzer release drill: Quick release, Coaches are on him to get the ball out fast. Anticipate routes, before they break, makes it tough on defenders. It's a constant focus in camp.

ON Big fellas up front: Henne: Had some early struggles in camp but got better, long is consistent, carey as well, interior not settled yet but they are working at it. No question one thing for sure it is the best line he's seen since he came here.

ON TE: Henne: David martin / haynos working well more complete TE's implemented.

ON RW work ethic: BM: quiet leader, teamates/young guys notice it. His workethic is amazing. It rubs off on them. Mouth quiet show it in the prep and work.

BM on coaching staff transistion to a younger coaching staff in Denv.: You adapt, change happens, some people didn't mesh, it happens, you roll with it.

Chad on Nolan: It's totally different every play. They are becoming a great d. It's tough because you can't get a beat on what is comming next. Unpredicable. Not a fan of seeing in camp but knows it will make them a great D. Best thing for the team.

    Break...be back soon....

    Back:

Young corners they need to develop:

    Sean Smith on:

Smith on Rookie year: tough. another rook in VD, so we talked alot. no picks, was tough, PK asking about no picks: got a couple in preseason thought it was easy, qb's made it much tougher in regular season.

Cowher on big plays given up/growing pains/learning curve, tell us now with Nolan comming in with some experience now:

SM: Last year i play my guy, d does what they do, he'll press his guy. This year we have new schemes, disguises, use your eyes, he's more comfortable, learns teams weakness's / strengths and how to attack it as a unit.

Starting 0-3, facing Rivers, Manning, Ryan got bombareded early how did he adapt: SM: after the colts game, he had Wayne most of the game, only had 3 catches or so, Peyton came to him after game, told him to keep it up he did good out there, hearing that from him gave him a confidence boost. Knew he had an opp. to get better in year 2. Teamates coaches showed confidence in him, helped him get better after week 3.

Mindset of this team entering 2010: SM: big thing is to finish. We had lots of games and couldn't close it out. So when in those situations this year we need to learn how to finish. Morale this year is very high inside the locker room. New talented players comming in. Playing fast and physical.

Dealing with Recievers he's faced: Moss, edwards, Wayne, White, dealing with Wideouts who can beat the press: SM: Terrell Owens knew how to beat his press and turn his strength into a weakness. Lesson:Don't always be too agressive.

On maybe being a FS comming in, and the battle now: SM: Clemons is in there now, he did make plays since he came here, blazing fast even if people don't notice it. In OTA's and Camp, only maybe one or two mental errors. Confident and playing great, their talking on the field, working together, it's like he's not a first year starter.

Break...sounds like Clemons will be our starting FS if i read between the lines from SM on Clemons. Back...

    Jarod Odrick on...

How much 3-4 has he played: not much couple plays at PS. He likes it though.

Talk about transition to a 3-4: used to straight ahead gaps, now he's playing a man, using your hands, playing two guys, coach uses terms controlled aggressive. More disciplined involved.

JO : nolan keeps us using mixes in there which takes adv. of what he's used to. Incorporates many things that can benefit him. When he's put over a guard it's familiar. It helps the transisiton.

PK on him anticipating snap count: he was very good at that at PS.

Getting used to 3rd down package: more tough because you have to know what your responsibility. At PS he sort of did what he wanted to, more flexibility. He needs to know now to stick to his assignment.

When you came here, what is the theme here from the players, what does it mean to be a dolphin: similar to Penn State, the coaches mentality, work hard, school of work ethic. Camp Marshmallow, which isn't like a marshmallow at all lol. Similar in MIA.

Where you suprised how they coach, very fundamental based. LIke teaching high schoolers, so detailed on basic stuff. ALl details are highlighted and corrected: He likes it, you think yo udid good and then the coaches will tell you that you had a bad hand placement. Great to learn the basics and not get lazy on them.

On going against Jake: Very familiar with going against a LT, whether guard is up or down. Lots of items are similar. But great practice going against Jake. He's tough. he can dissengage, but it's tough. He has long arms so it's challenging to get off his block when you want.

PK: you were leading with your hands, pretty aggessive.

JO: Depending on the down and situation, use different techniques given the situation.

Cowher on Phins being an "imposing" team, this team went 9-7: JO: They are in there getting after it every play. You have to have the mentality of its on the players.

On Douglas being here, how does he help: JO: him and grant have both taught him lots with the mental part of the game. Pre snap reads, reads off tackles through to the center. It helps his awareness of what's going on.

Any secrets on Cam Wake, both Penn State guys, both wore 91: he left before JO got to PS. He's got 91 here, joking around.

Break again....on the other side....calls from listeners.

    Tony Sparano on...

PK: Koa and Cam wake: TS: what you see is tremendous focus and motor. play hard. both physical, great pass rush, good in coverage

Cowher, talk about bring BM to this team, how this team is turned over to Henne: TS: on marshall, evaluating ourselves, we were missing the big play from last year, doesn't matter how it comes but we had to have 15 play drives and always had to be right on each drop back. So haveing marshall will help that, save the legs of Ricky/Ronnie too so they aren't having to run for every length of every drive. On henne, when you watch him he took full command of the team, eyes are on him. He's put in the work and prep, film, worked out, he's led him to where he is, not just talking the talk.

On the big guys up front, where his heart is, Jake is great, battle inside: TS: several looks inside, started last year with grove, then the injury, then berger came in. It created competition this year, both are potential starters, good problem to have. Drafted Jerry, give him every opp. to start at RG, he has teh best best RG skill set, givin him as many chances as possible, incognito has played well too. Lots of competition.

On Jake: TS: hand use is much better, run game stuff is easy for him, use of his feet, inside move has been progressing, he really learns from his mistakes quickly. Got better after abraham got to him last year and he keeps getting better.

ON wideouts other than BM, is the Qb gonna have a consistent set to look at: TS: deepest group of wideouts he's ever had even in dallas, hartline came in quickly and made plays, run after catch. BEss has improved tremendously, solid on 3rd down, has made himself even better this year. Cammy this year is consistent. Couple young players who will have opportunities. Lots of depth.

Growing pains with rookie corners, d was good in so many situations, about your 2 young corners development and nolan comming in: TS: corners both got over 950 plays last year, both are competitors, skill sets are amazing, Vontae has done amazing this offseason, Sean is getting better and better. Learned from the experience last year. One area we could improve is get a guy like NOlan come in. HIs area of exp. is in the back end, which should help our secondary and eliminate big plays.

On Dansby, dynamic, rush, cover, tackler talk about him to MIA: TS: his addition will have a huge impact. Crowder is an amazing player, but with Dansby there Crowder doesn't have to do it all, Dansby will help Crowder, both can cover, helps Nolan with flexibility.

Down the middle on D, FS: TS: right now we feel great about Clemons, this player has taken many reps over camp, gets guys lined up, he has range, made tackles last year, not worried about tackling, thinks the ball finds him naturally.

Going into this year, quick start, mentallity of this team: TS: since day one we feel we have championship parts, we need to think like champions, need to start fast, reevaluate his control of the team, how can we get off to a quick start, we have a tough early schedule and it will help set the tone early.

TS: taking care of the football, penalties, discipline, took a bit of step back last year, need and can be better this year.

On depth: TS: He feels good about depth, some spots to evaluate, DL has lots of depth, like to rotate 6-7 in a ball game. Secondary is gaining some depth, Wil Allen back, with VD,SM, and now Carrol there we have some good possibilies and flexibility.

On QB's: TS: Penny's qualities are all good, but doesn't need all the reps other backups usually need, so he can give reps to other qb's who woudl need it, Thigpen has some different qualities. Feels the position is deep, tough decisions will need to be made but its a great situation to be in.

    Break time....

How will BM help the offense with big plays:

PK: Henne willl have flexibility to use 2 back sets to use marshall, now he can do it the opposite way and keep the d offbalance

Cowher: has some concerns with the TE, loves the running game, and the wideouts now. Will the TE be able to stretch out the middle of the field.

PK: 2 runnbacks, TE set, Moss/welker look, have Hartline opposite of BM. Several options with Hartline.

Best 11 players out there, maybe not having the TE, using 3 wideouts , 2 running backs, put TE in the backfield. Find that out in TC. BM gives them the big play ability.

With no big play ability before, you had to play the perfect game, no penaties, forces you to be perfect if you need a 12 play drive every time. This big play ability now gives them more room for error. Better group of corners, 2nd year and nolan there.

Some of the questions come with the interior of the OL.

Nolan knows 3/4 or 4/3, counting on Clemons, he is cautiously optimistic about limiting the big plays. Needs to see guys underfire in a game, come saturday night. He'll get a glimpse against TB. Needs to see clemons play in game situation to feel better about it.

    Cam Wake on ....

Expectations for himself this year: CW: big this year, filling the vacancies of Porter and Taylor. Always wanting more from himself. Highest expectations come from inside himself.

On getting more playing time and then how they didn't finish: CW: not finishing the way they wanted to. Big focus this year, finishing everything, plays, games, series. Need to finish.

On watching an OLB Porter, last year, how have you prepared from learning and watching JT/JP or others in the league: CW: Came into a great position last year. Same room as JT/JP sat between them, was a sponge. LIttle bits of knowledge on QB reads, wealth of information. Take what they tell him and use it when he goes in.

Great around a corner, great ones need a counter move, how is he developing his counter move: CW: coaches have been working with him, lots of studying

Sorry missed part of Wakes interview...

    Back from break...

Cam Wake, getting an opportunity. Understands it. Absord from Porter and Taylor, translate into his game, allows him to recognize and embrace his opportunity. He'll have lots to learn. He works on his craft in practice. He needs sunday reps. Regular season reps is a big step. He understands it. His preperation has been great and will allow him to take the next step.

He won't assume he's the starter, he thinks in a humble way about it, but wants it. Odrick will help him too. Thing he said that impressed him the most was when he quoted nolan saying our D will be an Offensive D. They will be aggressive and opportunitstic in nature.

Nolan will throw lots at them because he can scale back what he needs to make sure guys stretghs are utilized and players are comfortable, if he needs to pull back he can. Cowher thinks Nolan has a tremendous amount of skill to work with.

On Dansby, he can cover, he can blitz inside. Get backs going against Misi or Wake, give you flexibility and different looks for how the O will block your guys. Creates mismatch opportunities.

On the WR. Hartline will prob. win the number 2 opposite of BM.

Sorry got caught on the phone, missed the remaineder....thats' all from me.

Henne is emphasizing Henning and Sparano's philosophy "get the ball out".

I can see why White and Thiggy would struggle with that as they are accustomed to using their mobility to extend a play, in Miami it is 5 steps and the ball is outta there..

His answer should just be: "Preseason versus New Orleans. Look it up. Or any of my college tape."

Heheh I just thought they were "Jason Cole's notes"..

Funny listening to them giving Smith a hard time, especially about Manning running the bubble screen right by him..

He did mention that, with a "I had two picks in the preseason and I thought this was easy, ...then the season started and the ball was more accurate and the regular guy was in the game.."

I really do think that Ricky's quiet leadership is so very important for this team. He comes off as pretty classy if you ask me, even though many dont look at him as that.
