Takes place in 1912 in a floating American city called Columbia. Think Rapture in the sky, suspended on hot air balloons. Columbia gets involved in an international incident of some kind and disappears. The main character is tipped off to its location and goes there to rescue someone called Elizabeth. Due out in 2012.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I passed on Bioshock 2 mostly because I heard it was more of the same game. Hopefully since the original studio is back on the project this will feel like something different and special. Also I really like the idea of the floating city in the sky. It should had a whole new dimension to gameplay, especially with those sky trams.

I didn't get Bioshock 2 for the same reason, this looks great though

You should definitely get Bioshock 2, especially now it can be had for cheap 2nd hand. If you liked the 1st one, you'll like the 2nd. Personally I loved both games.

One of the best trailers ive seen in a while for a video game....it took me a while to understand what was going on because they wanted you to think it was underwater at first. very cool idea with the city in the sky concept.

Looks amazing, I really do respect these devs for not being willing to reuse old content. Its not something too common these days and it should feel like a totally new experience. While I do agree that Bio2 was "more of the same", I think if any of you guys enjoyed the first one you are doing yourself a disservice by avoiding it entirely. Like others have said it can be had cheap, I ended up renting it on Gamefly. Also, the online MP isnt too bad, and there are Big Daddy suits that occasionally spawn that allow you jump in and have some fun in the matches.
