Now he's said it. His contract is up after this season, so hopefully they will extend it. I don't think we'll have a Jason Taylor situation here, Ricky has been part of the Parcells/Sparano team since the beginning, I assume he'll get one before this season is over?

Ricky has played well enough to earn another "post-it" note extension. He is durable and can still tote the rock. I think Ronnie Brown must make it through the season without getting injured to get a new contract.
If I know a seasoned veteran, he only does this if he can see the ring and greatness potential. I think over the last two years he's looked at the team and seen an upswing in talent and attitude. Like us, he sees only a few pieces missing. Maybe a real backup RB not named Lex, the secondary's progression, and shoring up the O line. Ricky sees the writing, It's on the wall. And it's bright Aqua.
I really would like him to have one more season if he's healthy. I think with 2 more years he'd be sure to be the dolphins all time leading rusher.
I would love to have him back. He is still a core player. But I can't help but think does he still owe the Dolphins money?

I don't care how Parcells hands it to him, just so long as Ricky is on this team next season, because I now want to see Ricky wearing a SB ring the rest of his life and next year he'll get one. No doubts in my mind.
It would definitely soften the blow of losing both Ronnie and Ricky, now we just lose Ronnie unless they franchize him.
Well, he'll definitely pass Csonka, unless he gets hurt. He needs like 940 yards or so? Ronnie and Ricky have plans to have dual 1,000 yard seasons this year(I would love to see it, it's hard though), so it's possible he could pass Csonka this season.
Nope. It's been stated at some point that the settlement was long ago forgiven or some such. Ricky isn't on the hook for anything. If anything he's making sure he's financially sound for the rest of his life so he can do whatever he pleases with the rest of his life.
