    Aspartame Side-Effects: Overview
Here's an intro from a very good website regarding this crap. The site goes into extreme detail for a lot of things, so I'd highly recommend checking it out.
Again, this is just an intro...... so if you'd like to learn more, please visit the site as it's the most in depth one and accurate I've seen.

Are you sure there is no agenda...because methanol breaks down to Formic acid in the body and formaldhyde is only a step in that reaction.....and oh by the way the toxicity level is 300mg per kg and given the absorption rate then you would need to eat abouot 20 pounds of Aspartame per day to reach toxic levels.

Formic acid is recommended for pregnant women, should we therefor make the leap that pregnant women should eat as much Aspartmane as possible...of course not.......

But hey I agree with you that Aspartame (much more than Sucralose IMO)has many questions, and I have no doubts personally that it is not good for your body whatever the levels of toxicity ... but any data or article that makes leaps like you suggest and omits some of the things I have pointed out is of questionable value IMHO...............

    here we go again.
    - aspartic acid and phenylalanine are both naturally occuring aminoacids, so not sure why that's a concern unless you are guzzling huge amounts of coke-zero everyday
-methanol is a concern to toxicologists, but again, you need to consume more than what's in these drinks. the exception being if you suffer a malfunctioning liver or take MAO inhibitors.
    -
    - puh-leeze.
    -
    - again, puh-leeze. this article says nothing substantial.

bottom line - do you want to consume large amounts of aspartame? No, of course not.
but this article does a really sh&&*y job of justifying it.

Would there be anything more ironic than a guy, 25 years old, fantastic shape, ripped or lean, perfect body fat % and drinks/eats healthy all day every day.......vs. someone who is the exact opposite in every aspect, a fat, lazy, always tired chain smoker who is McDonalds' #1 fan......getting hit by a Mack truck on the way to the gym in the morning?

Either one of these folks could get sick and die at any minute. That or get into an accident of some sort cutting their lives short. I'd have to ask myself, was it worth it? Sure the fit guy would have a great body for the coffin to hold just up until his body fizzles away into a skeleton.

Dark thoughts indeed. I'll keep doing what I've been doing. Try to make good decisions for yourself and stay as healthy as you can. That doesn't always mean avoiding every single thing has potential dangers in them.

I think you're out of luck. Not many options in a world that is vastly overpopulated and depends on mass production to produce everything in our lives.
