But the question has been that either a) Sparano was never interested in him being a slash type player or that b) White has never been interested in being a slash type player...somewhere along the way the lines on this issue have been blurred. We don't know if it was White who was resistant to changing or vice versa....either way, the kid had opportunities, his skill just hasn't translated to the pro game... Maybe he is being used incorrectly, but even if he is, who's fault is that ??

Hey, Eric...tell us how you really feel....seriously

The ONLY reason this has been a story is due to all the hype around the kid when he was drafted. He was supposed to be the next step in the development of the WCxQB !! He was supposed to be a good prospect, albeit a project as a proset QB !! Well, what about all that now ?? He doesn't look to be either. He is tentative, doesn't practice well, and therefore isn't being used in games save for a few plays late last season when the team was playing pitifully and they were hoping for a spark....oh, BTW, that didn't happen either.

But yeah, I get excited and frustrated about this regime blowing another high round draft pick for our team. The reason this regime is here is primarily because of the long line of 2nd round draft busts and overall poor player evaluation for both the draft and FAs. Are they doing better than previous regimes...yes...are we where we should be....NO...

If they had taken a shot on a LBer or FS or WR instead of White, this team probably would be better off, although that's being somewhat presumptuous. Many have said all along, that taking a risky prospect back in 2009 was not the best option for this team. We didn't know, for sure, that it would turn out this way, but it has. Therefore, talking about it, being upset, bad-mouthing the regime is all fair game....

As to the kid himself, I'm sure he's a nice person and certainly hasn't done anything to be ashamed of, but most of us not happy with White are actually talking about the fact that he was taken so highly, was expected to be this Wunderkind and none of that has happened... The reason he was drafted was flawed and now we're out another high 2nd round pick...someone we'll miss in the next few years...

I'll add one more thing, when 4th round pick Shawn Murphy was dumped, it was just another day on the boards here...but talk about cutting the 44th overall pick in the draft....that's a little different...

i think its a little early to get rid of him IF he isnt showing any progress. hes a back up QB. you shouldnt expect any contribution from him so soon. especially with the 3 QB's in front oh him.

and we stand to lose more by getting rid of white, in the sense of his purchase price versus sale price. im not implying that he has more to offer then thigpen or pennington as far as performance this season. just that trading thigpen or pennington would get us greater return on investment.

just remember, they chose pat white because they liked him.
they put him on the field in crunch time because they believed he had something to offer, not just because they said " F it, cant hurt to give him a few snaps while the game is still on the line."

these are professionals managing an NFL team. their actions speak far louder then some negative comments from fans that dont know 1/100 of what they know. what does everyone in here do for a living? what makes anyone's OPINION worth squat?

i just think everyone's time and effort would be better spent in other ways then making a new anti-pat white thread every freaking day. he doesnt deserve that. at least not so soon. the FO is going to do what they think is best, regardless of what people complain about on the internet. just saying, everyone needs to stop twisting their own panties up over nothing.

its not like tedd ginn is our best reciever anymore. we are talking about a developmental QB just drafted last year, who is sitting behind:
a guy that was a 2nd round pick in 08 and is now our starter
the guy that led us to an AFC East championship in 08 and was injured in 09
and a former starting QB we picked up after an injury to our starting QB last season.

thigpen was an emergency pick up due to injury last year. and if i remember right, they wouldnt resign pennington unless he dropped his "no trade clause" i think a lot of people are drawing the wrong conclusion about the wrong guy because they have blinders on.

besides i expect to see patty turner gone before patricia white.

thats my 2 cents. it may not euqal the same as everyone elses 2 cents, but i think it makes smore sense.

That's my two cents...right, wrong or indifferent. I am beginning to think that the regime is spending less time on this subject than we are though...
I think, my version makes more sense....but then, that's what these forums are about...
