the trend continues, keep your mouth shut, come to work, and play.....you will be taken care off.....

be a punk *** holdout and you wont...sorry Rev, and Mankins....

Patriots signed K Stephen Gostkowski to a four-year, $14 million extension through 2014. The deal contains $5 million guaranteed.

Annually among the league's most efficient kickers, Gostkowski has drilled home 87.3 percent of his field goal attempts over the last two seasons. The former Memphis baseball pitcher was a first-team All Pro and Pro Bowler in 2008. He also set a career high with 21 touchbacks in 2009. For 2010, Gostkowski is our No. 2 fantasy kicker, behind only Garrett Hartley.

Disagree about the Mankins situation, and about the Pats taking care of their players. They have been doing just the opposite for the most part for years now. Yeah certain guys will get deals, but there lots of bitter ex Pats out there. I think that kind of thing is starting to catch up with them.

Agreed. They will take care of Brady, but Moss already knows he will move on

Disagree, when a team gets stingy, its the only leverage a player holds really. And teams do get stingy. In a perfect world, all players would automatically get an appropriate contract, but in the NFL, owners and GMs just sometimes dont want to part with the money. When that happens, players dont have much leverage except to keep their talents away.

Now, thats not to say every holdout is warranted. I think Revis is going a bit overboard, but I feel the Mankins one has a good purpose.
