i feel bad......... *looks at last season with crowder, will allen, ferguson, pennington, ronnie, cobbs, grove, smiley all being injured* oh nevermind......no i dont.
If Revis holds out for the first Dolphins game that would mean New England and the Jets join Miami for being in the top 5 for youngest starting CB combo's. New England would be at #1, Miami #3 and Jets #5 (till Revis comes back).
Injuries are apart of the game, they impact teams but alot of the time backups in this league are capable of filling in and not missing a beat.
I don't have a link but I did just read that Cromartie's hip is acting up - the one he injured in SD.
I heard Rex's CAnkels are acting up too Injuries play a huge role, some replacement players take full advantage of the opportunity while others don't. For instance last year when Ronnie went down, Ricky stepped it up. That is not always the case however, Ricky was a vet, who is talented. I'm not sure NE's cornerback depth is that great so it could be more of a wildcard with Bodden's replacement.
Exactly. Ricky was a proven runner. The article says Bodden is NE's best cornerback so replacing him might be difficult. Also with Harris and Bigby out for GB, those are two guys you lose that played in a ball-hawking secondary which is now going to force GB to play a rookie (Morgan Burnett).
I don't buy that for one second. maybe with a few positions like RB or TE -Do you think the scrub Olinemen we finished last season with did as well as our starters? -any good QB in this league looks for the injury replacement CBs and picks on them all game long until they prove they can handle it. We watched Marino do it all the time If you have a dominating offense or defense, you can take a couple of key injuries and maintain momentum, but if it's average/above-average it makes a difference. New England's defense is extremely mediocre. I hope we take advantage of Bodden being out.
-AntoniHo Cromartie's right hip is acting up again and required ice after practice, of course he can spot child bearing hips from across a crowded night club. The man has more children than Mrs Wayans. -Brodney Pool has a ankle issue. -Rex Ryan's lap band is suing for abuse.
To play devils advocate, when Big Ben gets his suspension reduced to 5 games, his 1st game is against????? Anybody??
I think fans have a tendency to look at their team's injuries and assume that other teams don't have the same kinds of issues, see "fire the conditioning staff" thread.
