for the tone deaf...... Chad Henne is playing like Jay Fiedler. Scared! Scared to make a mistake. Scared to throw it down the field.
Not that I am a mind reader, but one thing I really don't see on Henne is fear or intimidation. What cracks me up is so many people said that one of Henne's weak points was the short pass, and his ability to put a softer touch on the pass in the short game. So now it is preseason, where you are supposed to work on things you need to get better at, he works on short passing (and I saw some great improvement on his touches in the short game tbh) and now people complain that he is afraid to pass long? The dude has a rocket arm and can blast passes downfield, I don't think he is afraid to throw long since it is something he has done with ease his whole career. He is also working on limiting turnovers which is a positive not a negative. Don't be surprised when we look downfield in the first series against the Bills. I would actually bet on it.
God I hope so.... Because this has been almost painful to watch. We have a receiver BETTER than Randy Moss and all that he does is run routes down the field.
I hope so too brother... There are some things that I am worried about, but Henne isn't one YET. Lets hope he goes out and gets em on the 12th...
None of it was needed. Even if we whooped up on 'em, people would say "ooh..way to beat up on scrubs." We struggle and it's "well, those guys are all playing for jobs over there." or "wow we really do suck" Fact is, our boys had no motivation what-so-ever for this game, and it showed. But so the hell what?
But how many of us wanted to see the offense score a TD before leaving the game? Most. Why? Because we had sucked balls up until then. We had some nice runs here or there and a few nice passes. However, I think the coaches wanted to get the offense off the field on a high note. That first drive we took down the field; if we had scored a TD I bet we never those starters again. As it was we didn't and the coaches wanted to try and force some rhythm into the offense. It wasn't about what Jake needed, but maybe the offense as a whole which means he was out there. Everyone just be damn thankful we don't have an ACL to worry about.
I swear if he greenlights another Dan Henning playcall of a play-action-pass on 3rd and 10+, I'm gonna go nuts.
Jake says he's fine and is confident he'll be starting against Buffalo. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-dolphins-notebook-0903-20100902,0,3853842.story
Unless there's breaking NEWZ, this is my last post until Saturday before kick because I don't wanna hear this gloom and doom nonsense over preseason. It's frigging PRESEASON. The Colts average one preseason win every leap year, you think they are nervous? Hell, the Rams look better than us in preseason. They're obviously gonna hold the NFC West crown.
