Just a reminder to everyone who wants to watch the game again or see it for the first time. They are showing the game from last night against the Cowboys.
After watching the first drive again, I think i was a little too hard on Henne and Hennning. Henne made a couple of nice 3rd down throws and a couple nice bullets. He was limited by the play calls, but I think that was the point. They offense really has not shown anything new since last year and it felt like they were just feeling each other out like a practice game. Also, it just felt like a preseason game, a little lackluster, like they were mentally preoccupied thinking about buffalo instead of Dallas, because when its all said and done this past game didn't count. I think we all need to take a deep breath, and be a little less critical, because we do not know how much they are holding back, and how ready they truly are and how much more the team knows than we do. And plus the I think Henne is the most focused in the mid 3rd quarter which he has not had the opportunity to play in. we all would like a perfect preseason, with everything going right, but that is never going to happen, this is football, and its never easy.
Watched the game for the first time last night, and it was much the same as the rest of the preseason IMO...a real mixed bag. Some good, some bad, some ugly. Bottom line, these guys better ratchet up their game starting 9/12, or it could be a long season. BTW, I never heard anymore about Jake's injury. Has anyone heard what it was, or the severity? Looked like they were looking at his left knee. Is he gonna be OK for opening day?
While Henne was in there they had 2 or 3 batted balls that killed a couple of drives. It will really be important to cut down on the incidence of that happening. Although players are not permitted to talk specifically about injuries, all indications are that Jake will be fine by opening day.
