I'd take both Hartwig > Hartline (kick Berger to LG) Logan > all our kick returners, and probably better than Hilliard
The supposition that they don't want to guarantee his contract is a possibility - but, come on? This makes ZERO sense. 1. Their best offense in the pre-season has been the two-TE set. 2. Martin can really stretch the middle that gave many teams a lot of trouble last year and it opens up the run. 3. With Marshall on the outside, that makes Martin even more valuable as a threat. 4. Martin has played well. 5. Do they think anyone they bring in the next few days is going to be able to make a big contribution next week? If this is to not guaranteed the deal, then it's on the owner who doesn't want to fork over the dough. The biggest game of the year is the next one. How have the Dolphins prepped themselves to be at their best and win that game? By getting rid of a player who would contribute more effectively than any other back up TE? Makes zero sense, football-wise, imo.
