Anyone heard what is going on with Pat White? The news wires are awfully silent. I am surprised the Jets didn't sign him to get our playbook.

I understand why we cut him but I can't help but feel sorry for him. He packed on a lot of muscle during the off season and he has a big heart, unfortunately his game doesn't match it.

If some one wanted to spend a ton of time developing him he just might develop in time. But he will have to be someone's special project. I am always sad to see our boys move on. I hope he gets the fresh start that he deserves.

I doubt anyone is willing to give up a roster spot for him this close to the season given how little he's shown so far. He's got no practice squad eligibility either.

He may get picked up as a developmental prospect later in the year once someone loses a QB to injury, but his best shot will probably be to try UFL or CFL. Depending on how that goes he might get another shot next offseason.

I hope he lands a spot in the CFL and learns how to be a QB in professional football. Nice guy, I'm pulling for him, just glad he's not here.

Im sure we never even gave him a playbook. It was apparent that with Pennignton and Thigpen here, White wasn't going to be a qb. nor was he ever going to get playing time, so I'm sure White wasnt given a full copy of the playbook, as I'm sure most bubble guys, or guys fighting to make the roster arent.

The kid may end up being Flutie V.2 after a stint in the CFL.

Or, more likely, a center fielder for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

No actually I am with you. It would be really difficult to be one of the best college QB's ever and come to the NFL and not really be able to play your game. Unfortunatly the NFL just isn't the place for Pat.

I really think he may be able to find some success in the arena league.

The reason that he really catch's a bad rap here isn't even his fault. The fact that we used a 2nd round pick on the guy is the big problem. Just like Jason Allen. He was just way over drafted, finally he may live upto what we wanted from him.....a starter.

He was drafted too high for sure and he is not NFL material, not yet. I think he's perfect for the arena league.

It's even more embarrassing a pick to see NO ONE is even willing to pick him up. Yeesh!

    I hope he can hit a curve-ball.

By far the hardest sport to be successful at. Even harder than football. It's the one sport where just being a great athlete isn't enough.

Judging from some comments he made in the offseason, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up going back to baseball though. I can't see him going to the CFL.
