John Moffit is we can get a 2 back...might make round 3 pick............Alen will tell you...I love John Moffits game and have for a long time now.........
Cannon has scary weight issues, I hear. Gets up to 380 at times. Where do you see Thomas going? Round two IMO. Stephen Paea is very good. He's strong too. Just has to stay off the ground.
Doesn't look like he has scary issues. I think he has a really good NFL body. Thomas is a 1/2 after one game. Won't see a big back slide so well in the hole as he does all season. Paea is relentless. Such a horse. Did you see Mississippi State/Auburn? Nick Fairley of Auburn looked nice but Purnell McPhee was very good. Looking for a SOLB at 6'4, 274.....gets after the QB, sets the edge, tough, good hands, good hustle, can get to the perimeter. Like him a lot.
It's said his weight balloons up in the off-season. I think Thomas is maybe a late first. I am sticking with second rounder though. Unfortunately missed it. Had to go do some things so I didn't get to see it. I'll catch it eventually. You watching Marshall/WVU?
Yeah I've seen that. Sometimes that doesn't translate to on the field but it does for him. He's very strong IMO.
Watching Kyle Rudolph doesn't greatly excite me today. IMO he has heavy feet. I don't think he could hold Rob Gronkowski's jock strap. (Also think ND made a horrible choice passing up an easy 3 with their backup QB in). Michigan's safety #4 Gordon is horrible! Will suck for Michigan if they lose the game b/c of his crappy play.
I heard that Rudolph had a 95 yard TD. I'm still intrigued by the other ND TE, I think that his name is Rangone.
He did have a 95 yard TD.... but the safety, Gordon, blew the coverage like he did numerous times during the game.
When has it worked in the NFL with a guy who can't run it up the middle? Yes, Robinson is good in college right at the moment. I can come up with a list names as long as my arm of running QBs who were awesome in college, but couldn't and didn't do **** in the NFL though. We're not reinventing the wheel here. Denard Robinson has amazing talent. I wish I had half of what he has, but he's not going to be a good NFL prospect because of two games or even a whole season. He's got a long way to go still, even if he did get 2 records in 2 straight weeks.
Come back when Michigan actually plays a defense. Rich Rod is running Robinson into the ground. He is talented yes but cmon Dj ND isn't exactly lights out good on defense. Robinson is putting up Heisman numbers but he wont get credibility until he does in on a decent team.
South Carolina's Weslye Saunders is in some deep crap. He's already suspended but I think his stock will plummet come draft time.
you didnt say that stitch...you compared the kid to a Pat white style when it comes to running inside the tackles...I disagree with that, he can, and he does, very well, and he does it with an aggressive nature. I believe what he did today was a grounbreaking performance for this formation..a formation that I believe in and have projected its growth from the very beginning.. Would I want him running the whole offense in the NFL?...no, but I would completely commit to a hybrid offense and draft him....and I hope that is us when he decides to come out..... The position is coming into its own across both leagues, college and Pro... Iam excited about him and the formation Stitch...why shouldn't the leader of the formation be keeping an eye out on this magnificent player.. approx 500 total yards..250 rushing..250 passing...noone else has to crown him..but I will. He won me big money today.
ahhh man..come on buck..that was a big time game on the road... Hes leading the heisman vote at this point...
Yeah man he did great and he is the front runner for the Heisman but all I am saying lets wait and see how he ends the season. If he is doing this week and week out I would be scared as an opposing defense.
Pat White absolutely ran between the tackles in college, and put up crazy rushing stats too. And how is the position coming into it's own in college and pros? The guy you are championing is running the ****ing shotgun, not the wildcat. Trent Richardson on the other hand, he ran the wildcat yesterday and did it pretty well. A few select teams in the pros running the formation like 3 times a game out of like 50 plays is not having it come into its own. It's used less than the freaking goal-line formation for christ's sake.
http://bostonherald.com/sports/coll...&format=&page=1&listingType=colfb#articleFull Sounds like Mark Herzlich is making a steady progressive return.
Sorry Stitch. Seed's planted my friend. LOL I think he's my temporary #1 1st round desire..... followed closely by Patrick Peterson, Prince, and Julio. How bout u?
I would like Hightower, though I don't think he is my first choice. Peterson is a great player, but I'd have a hard time seeing us take him (or any cb) in rd 1. Julio and/or AJ Green would be great, last year's Jonathan Baldwin would be as well. If we pick late enough I like Kyle Rudolph, but he might not be a 1st rounder come April. I really like Ryan Williams, but not sure if we will want a RB in the 1st round (if he even comes out). And though it would be tough to justify, much like at CB, Cameron Hayward would be a great pairing with Odrick.
Yes, Jonathan Baldwin, my bad. Was thinking Michael Floyd too, and got the two ideas crossed up as I typed. See I don't think Luck will either, but I seem to be in the minority.
No worries, just making sure. You're usually very good with names, which is why I did a double take lol. I don't see him coming out. Nope. Ryan Williams will for sure IMO.
Y Since our defense appears to be our strength, I'm trying to figure out who could have the greatest impact on it, hence thinking of Hightower. I don't see Rudolph in the 1st round either, nor do I see him as much of an upgrade over Fasano to warrant the pick imo.
I think we need to give Henne another weapon (so I prefer a WR at the moment). I like Rudolph. I know he might not be a 1st rounder, I'm only going by the production I expect this year, not what he has put up so far. I'm also factoring in that we don't have a 2nd rounder. I'm also factoring in that Fasano is in the last year of his deal. We'll get a better idea of who should go where as the year goes on.
I couldn't imagine how much pass rush we could generate with our front 3 if it were Heyward, Starks, Odrick.
