Man watching Gruden with those QB's pre draft.....how much fun would it be to have him as your head coach as a college kid? I mean I know MNF is great and he's about the best there is in terms of colour guys but heck......

I think Gruden is too tied up in commentating and coaching Carrollwood High in the off-season right now. He loves coming down here to coach his son.

Huh? I've been around as long as you have or at least close to it.

Doubt you remember ChambersOwnz from Finheaven, but that was me. I probably created that account during his rookie season.

I must have joined Finheaven when I was 12 or 13 and lied about my age. I've been around long enough to witness your rant about how Anquan Boldin should have been a mid round selection, and no way should Miami consider him in the second round. That was me who argued against you continuously.

Yeah I suppose so. To be honest, because Chris, Rich and I are only concentrating on seniors, I'm trying not to pay as much attention to the juniors so as to keep focus if that makes sense. He has moxie and I like that and he can play. I think he's a long way from the finished article though.

I gotcha. Yeah, he's far from being done but he's really improved the last couple years.

On the designed QB keeps he did quite well. He made 2 beautiful passes on the first drive they scored a TD. but he really needs to work on his short passing game.

Ah I remember who you are: the fantasy Anquan Boldin guy who rolls out this story repeatedly about how I said this, that and the other about Boldin. Hey go and ask some of the grown ups about my opinion in Boldin at the time. I'm an FSU fan. There's not a player I wanted more at that spot when he was still there so genuinely, I have no idea where you get this stuff from.

I'm the first to put my hand up and say I missed on a guy, but Boldin......sorry fella....not me.

I love Ponder as a QB but that sounded rough. Game's taping in the am.....will be like a horror show. Landry Jones was 30-40 for 350+ though. Kid has game.

Unlike Van Dyke who I've gotten to know a little bit the last year and is a good kid but he's another poorly coached player.

He's lost out there. He's a liability. I didn't see him in the second half today. McGee was in his place.

I don't get you. First you say you've been around since you were 12. Says you're 22 so a decade. But you're talking about creating an account during Ginn's rookie season. I'm lost.

The way he threw Jimmy Clausen under the bus on ESPN was priceless. Clausen deserved it, too.

That was my favorite sit down among the QBs. Seeing Clausen squirm. I guess he thought he was going to get spoon fed?

Are you saying the staff promised this kid the keys to the kingdom as well?

I don't know how you may know that but based on the Jacory Harris dealings it would not surprise me.

If Shannon keeps having to make promises to gain recruits it's eventually going to catch up to him and he'll lose all credibility with future recruits.

Jacory Harris would be insane to leave after this year, at least at this point.

He has shown nothing that would make him a draft pick at all right now.
He'd be a FA tryout in the NFL.
No one would draft this kid yet.

What makes you guys think he'd be a draft pick?
Simply because he started a couple years for the U?

This seems like the exact same story of Jacory Harris.

Promise the QB the keys to the kingdom and use that to get every player from his team to follow.

This is the college edition of Spurrier using the "draft all Gators" strategy to build a winner in the NFL.

I'm getting more and more wary of Shannon by the minute.

WOW! Gruden would be an awesome fit down there......

If Shannon loses 3 games this year he needs to go IMO.

I would also give Butch Davis anything he wanted to come back.

After what JJ and Igorstache did to Marino and the Dolphins, I doubt Johnson would be welcomed back with open arms. Stranger things have happened, though.

Butch Davis... that bridge is probably burnt to a crisp.

NO THANK YOU ! With the mess they have up there now ? UNC is about to get hit with major sanctions. We don't need that kind of crap at Miami again.

Lol @ "grown ups".... fantasy Anquan Boldin guy? This is probably my second time ever mentioning this to you. The first time which was years ago, I remember you owned up to it.

You can say whatever you want to say but I remember it all quite clearly. I also remember you using the "I'm a FSU fan so trust me" strategy to help make your assessment look more concrete. You definitely went on and on in every Anquan Boldin thread about his 40 time (think he dropped because he ran a 4.6-4.7 at the combine and/or FSU's pro day), and how he shouldn't be considered any higher than the third round.

Anyways, I don't really care about any of that "guru" yap so this is pretty irrelevant.... just find it all pretty funny looking back.

Just make sure you pop in here on October 9th.

I was referring to Chris Chambers, hence the statement coming after referencing my old stupid "ChambersOwnz" name.

Back to the purpose of this thread.... Honestly, this team should be 12-1 heading into the BCS. If not, then changes must be made.

I thought Boldin was a solid 2nd round pick who probably would fall to the 3rd not because of any lack of talent but because unfortunately too much stock is placed in the forty time.

I think you'll probably wipe the floor with us come October 9 so I might be away that weekend!! :)

Found an interesting tid bit at the bottom of a Dolphins/Parcells article about Harris and what is mentioned above. Apparently his arm strength issue is starting to be noticed by his teammates as well.

I'm willing to believe the comments were made from players simply because it's backed up by what we've seen from Jacory on the field from the very first game he's played up until now. Just glad to see it's an issue now being noticed. Maybe they can work with him on it.
