Here are the cold statistics: Ted Ginn Jr and his family 1 catch for 19 yards 3 kickoff returns averaging 18.0 with long of 30 2 punt returns averaging 13.5 with long of 16 Greg Camarillo 1 catch for 29 yards Joey Porter 2 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 INT, 0 FF Akin Ayodele Inactive Reggie Torbor Inactive David Martin 0 catches for 0 yards Gibril Wilson Tore MCL and ACL in August, out for year Andre Goodman, Nate Jones, Renaldo Hill Broncos gave up 3 TD passes, No INTs, No FF Anthony Armstrong 1 catch for 11 yards
I wasn't aware Wilson was done for the year. I also like how David Martin did absolutely zip vs the Phins too.
I saw Justin Smiley played virtually the entire game against Denver for JAX. They put up some points, so I'm guessing he was OK. Not sure though. Guess he wasn't as hurt as we thought? (Or maybe JAX is that desperate at G)
I didn't know about Wilson either until I tried to find his stats yesterday. Not much of a hit on the news lines for a guy who was one of the highest paid players at his position the last two years.
Say what you want about Wilson, but that man got PAID over the years. A superbowl ring, then a fat contract in Oakland, then fat contract here and now he gets paid for sitting on the couch. Don't get me wrong, injuries suck, but shees. Maybe I should write him a letter asking to pay my tuition or something
Kind of funny considering Dolphin world lost it's collective mind when he was cut. He was supposed to torch us and the world would end. Didn't happen LOL. Remember. The coaching staff always knows better.
Thanks for the update. Ted Ginn looks somewhat decent, but honestly with his stigma I don't think he'd really have had anything thrown his way. And I saw that Camarillo catch, that was good stuff. If Hartline continues to have a sophomore slump this season, that might be a trade that comes back to bite us, but one game does not a slump make, so lets hold off judgement there. As for the rest of them, they all look like they were easily replaced. Glad to see we're not losing production. I get the feeling we won't be missing the numbers JT puts up tonight, but who knows. Maybe he's found renewed purpose in puke green? sure hope not...
I do not think it was stigma, as opposed to having Davis, Morgan and Crabtree in front of him. Alex Smith is horrible though. At least he played horrible.
They did it by NOT playing Smiley all pre season and on two a days, he worked out on only one session. As you said, yes, thats how desperate Jacksonville is at guard
Ginns punt returns were pretty good, still don't know why we didn't use him in that role. Seemed to be what he's always been best at Sent from Evo 4G
WTF? When did this happen? I knew he wasn't on our team anymore, but I don't remember him ever being traded, and I'm on here all day long.
I was planning a segment around this for the radio show this week. I am not sure whether to be upset that you beat me to it, or thank you for making it easier for me.
If you look beyond the numbers Taylor played pretty damn well in that game. He did a great job of setting the edge and helped to almost completely shut down the Ravens running game.
JT also had a penalty called on him. He is taking to the JETS mantra of crazy, undisciplined fury on defense. Their aggresiveness is going to help/hurt them.
...? So has just about every other player in the league that has been around as long as him. He still had a penalty called against him for a team that had 14 of them on the night. Undisciplined and aggresive. Pretyt much the very definition of an offsides penalty. Next.
