Can someone please enlighten me on the genesis of this feed the wolves theme we got going?

I am confused as we are Dolphins should it be something to do with our franchise? I mean if 70,000 fans howl it would be great but people will be like WTF they are water animals not wolves!

I'm not being stupid either I don't get why we are using this

It's something Sparano said at the end of last year and now has become the teams theme.

I'm with you. I think it's pretty dumb too. Piranhas, Orcas, hell even a school of barracuda would have made more sense

It was Coach Sparano talking about their inner wolf..and the players have really rallied to it. Makes tons of sense...has nothing to do with our Mascot. Remember the black rats with the Florida Panthers

So youd rather have 70,000 angry
Miami fans clicking and squeeking in unison when the Jets come to town in two weeks for Sunday Night Football? 70,000 Dolphins fans sounding like Flipper?

Why does everything need to be associated with our Mascot?????

    since when?????

    No-Name Defense?

    Butch and Sundance?

Not everything needs to be Dolphin related....its just a saying....a motivational rally cry.

We want our OL to be Orca's.....Killer B's werent forced, they were what they were.

Redskins had the HOGS...did someone want to know why werent they Indian related?

Its meaningless...its just a saying......and its better than a Tree Stump with an Axe in it.

Personally, I think the 'rah-rah' stuff if meaningless. If I were a football player, I wouldn't give two craps about slogans, rah-rah speeches, and jumping up and down in a circle. I would think that just being in a professional football game would be motivation enough to bust your butt, be prepared, and execute.

    Maybe it's just me...

Agree to an extent but did you see the players howling after Sparano's post game speech? They were pretty into it.

Something about the feeding of the wolves is primal. It hits a nerve down deep that resonates inside. I think Coach Sparano has tapped into something that can fuel the fire...from a time when we had to hunt our food...when the strong survive and the weak get eaten.

    From Of Wolf And Man

    I Feel A Change...
    Back to A Better Day...
Hair Stands on the Back of My Neck....
Wildness is the Preservation of the World...
So Seek The Wolf In Thyself...

You wanna see something cool? This is the absolute definition of dominance:

The All Blacks represent New Zealand in rugby union, which is regarded as the country's national sport.[1] They won the inaugural Rugby World Cup, are the leading points scorers of all time and the only international rugby team with a winning record against every test nation they have ever played. They have the highest win ratio of 75 percent and rank as the number one team in the world for the most period of time in IRB World Rankings.[2] More than half of the top 20 ranked rugby union test nations have never beaten New Zealand in over 100 years of international competition.

This is what they do before EVERY SINGLE GAME. Its a tradition that leaves the opposition beaten in spirit before s single second has ticked off the clock....watch this..and envision the wolves howling...damn..look at these guys faces...can you imagine Cameron Wake doing this before we play the Vikings on Sunday....

I saw a Planet Earth thing were some Orcas harrased, killed, and ate only the tongue of a humpback whale.

I thought it was an awesome metaphor for what we we'll do to Rexy's Jets this year :)

Please do not get me wrong I was simply asking where it came from. I understand all the Killer Bees, No name Defense etc.. I just didnt know the origin.

However I wish there was some way we could transform the fanbase at the stadium into a block party or some kind. I know Ross wants its to be Disney Land however to get that twelfth man advantage we need to make this a place teams HATEEEEEEEEEE to come to. We need to be playing crazy kick you grandmom down a flight of steps music and all knids of stuff that taps into a CRAZY fanbase so the players feed off it.

Right now its Very high brow crowd with with a few English speaking natives..

I want a Kansas City type crowd to represent our team and PUMP them up..
