For some strange reason, I feel really good about our possibility to get out of Minnesota with a win.
I feel more confident about this week than I did the opening day game vs. Buffalo. Maybe it's because we hadn't won there or on opening day in so long. It just seems like we match up well against the Vikes.

You just know Favre is going to throw a couple our way. I also think we're going to be able to get to him with our schemes and maybe even confuse the old fart a bit.

I also feel confident about our ability to stop, well maybe not stop, but contain their running game. Our guys seemed to flash a lot of speed when chasing down the ball carriers in Buffalo, and tackled exceptionally well.

Not sure how well we can run against them, however I feel like if the o-line can protect Henne, we'll be able to take some shots down the field on them and their banged up secondary.

Here's to hoping we're 2-0 after this weekend!

Well, I'm not sure what to think, the Vikings are a better team by far than the Bills and we sure didn't light them up.

One thing that was positive for me was the Saints ran the ball pretty well on the Vikings, and we are a better running game, but Brees is also more to worry about than Henne.

The Vikings really need this and its the home opener, so if we can play even in the 1st quarter I think we can pull it out.

But this is a tough game.

the key is to run the ball use the wildcat and not turnover the ball. we can win but everything has to come together! we win the time of possesion we win IMO

Yeah, that and it has been a long time I believe since they lost a home opener? I thought I read that somewhere?

Favre really doesn't scare me, AP does. If Peterson gets going than Favre will have his way with us. Henne needs to grow from last week as well. If we stop AP and Henne doesn't lock on to receivers and hold the ball too long, we should be good.

I think it's pretty evident though that if we get Ronnie going we always have a better chance of winning. If we can't get the running game going though I'd like to see Wallace and Moore Active for this game and see a Marshall, Hartline, Wallace, Moore package! SPEED KILLS! We'd shock some people with that...

I'm pretty concerned about Minny. I think we can probably handle their offense. What concerns me is the Williams brothers and Super Mullet (JA) blowing up our patchwork offensive line. I think we are very susceptible to the pass rush up the middle, and I'm hoping we can give Henne time without constantly using max protection.

It's all on the O Line to 1. Protect Henne and 2. Give R&R a place to run. Jake Long vs Jared Allen will be epic.

There are definitely ways for the Dolphins to beat the Vikings... just gotta execute and make it happen!

Minny scare me more than the Jets and Pats. They have a great defensive line which cause us try to beat them thru the air and I am not sure if we can do that yet. Brett Favre and the Vikings have some serious offensive weapons even if Sidney Rice is out. Also they have had 3 extra days to prepare for us and the wildcat.

All that said I think we can win but it will be very tough. I am hoping this is the game that Adrian Peterson decides to fumble 3 times and Brett throws 3 ints that we actually catch.

I'm not sure if its misguided or not, but this game is certainly winnable. IMO Minny is a batter team than Buffalo and the fact is that a great QB can always pull out a win. But I see enough talent on both sides that either team can pull out the win. I believe that Minny is favored by 5 or 5.5, but IMO the line should be closer than that. I would put it at about 3.5 or 4. Basically after the 3 pts for home field I see Minny as a marginal favorite, nearly a toss up on a neutral field. And while Minny has generally played better at home, Miami plays about as well at home as it does away. I see this game as a toss up.

The Saints offensive line dominated the Vikings D line. We may have better running backs, but the saints line is on another level compared to ours at this time. I will be amazed if we have as much success running the ball as the Saints did.

I like the matchup because I think were stout against the run, and we can man up on the outside with their average receivers, and were a good road team {better than at home imo}...However, Brett farve scares the crap out of me and totally keeps me from being confident.

well we were in every game last year. i dont pay attention too much to the first three weeks of the season as a precursor of things to come. Lots of new coaches and players and not enough film to gameplan on. That being said, we had a positive start to the season and minnesota had the opposite. hopefully favre needs a couple more weekss to get his timing down with his receivers. we need to shut down peterson first and foremost. i think he will be the focus more this week as they try to rely on him until the passing game works out its kinks. on offense, i think we will have to exploit them through the air a bit. should be able to, if our timing is right. definitely winnable but we dont know yet which minnesota team will show up

Does anyone know the last time they started 2-0? I know it's been nearly a lifetime...it seems anyway.

AP scares me too. Did you see the conviction he was running with on Thurs night? He is tired of people saying CJ is better then him and he wants to prove he's the best. He will not be brought down by one defender.

Our D will have to play like they did against buffalo or better to win.

    Too Long!!!!!!!!!!

We have to make sure AP doesn't break any long ones. I know that is hard to do for 60 minutes but we wrapped Spiller up and I think he has about the same speed as AP, but AP breaks tackles better then just about anyone. We have to tackle like we did in game one. I see this being a close game but I think we win it 27-21.

Fins started 3-0 in 2002 beating the Lions 49-21, Colts 21-13 and Jets 30-3 before losing to KC 48-30. They also won their next two games to go 5-1 before losing to Buffalo 23-10... Finished the season with a loss to the PATS

Yeah, you're a little misguided under these circumstances.

Extra preparation time. Home opener. Crowd noise. Great run defense. Adrian Peterson. Brett Favre. Not to mention their backs are up against the wall at 0-1.

Not to say this couldn't be a trap game for them but I'll be a little surprised if we win.

Listing Brett as a positive? I see him as more of a crutch this season.

I think we match up well against the Vikings and their style. I wouldn't bet my house on this game, but we're a tough and hungry team, and we always have a punchers chance. But we need to take advantage of the opportunities this time. We can't drop pick 6s and bombs, and get out of there with the win.

Childress was on Sirius NFL and is content giving the ball to AP less than 20x a game. Being as he is an Andy Reid disciple I can believe this. Let us hope.

Probably more than a couple, the problem is our corners aren't exactly on the hands team.

the biggest worry for me with this game is, this is actually a trap game for us. We have Buff. then Minn, then Jets then NE. 3 of the 4 are division games. If we were able to PICK a game to lose, and were guaranteed to go 3 and 1, this is the game to lose. I am a little worried that we will still keep some of our stuff in the back room so we can bring it out the first time against the jets and ne. I doubt we let it all loose against buff. and I doubt we do against Minny too.

We didnt light up the score board...but in reality...the game was not really close. We dominated almost every phase of the game...and did so easily.

What gives me the most confidence...is or defense. I haven't seen a Miami D this fast and aggressive. For the first time in a long time...this is a defense that will be very hard to game plan against.

I think this is a bridge game...one for which we will be super amped for. One..its a national game...and the spot light is on us. Two...a win gives us all kinds of momentum going into the next two night games...again on national TV. The spotlight is on the Phins the next three weeks guys....we know it and our team knows it....

I think they .... NO I know they will be looking to feed the wolves on Sunday.
