God to I hate when reporters start questions with, "Let's talk about..." Ask a damn question - set them up for a follow-up question.
Agreed. We can blame ESPN for that. It’s a go-to for them, just like “What was going through your mind when…?” Fill in the blank journalism is exactly what Ricky Williams has been complaining about. And he’s right.
Singletary has a rat in the organization...he will wait it out and let the Rat reveal themselves. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/09/17/mike-singletary-disappointed-theres-a-rat-in-49ers-organizati/
I respect Singletary as a player, but as a head coach he needs to settle down with this “rat” stuff. In any organization, large or small, there are going to be leaks. You don’t like it? Don’t give them fodder. If you don’t like your OC, fire him.
...kind of have to back it up after awhile...no one is scared to play the 9ers....Alex Smith isn't going to win a Superbowl..
If you are an intense person like Singletary, you don't exactly have an off switch for it. You are what you are; intense every second of your life. Chances are the guy is harder than nails, but at the same time a nice guy if you know him. There is nothing wrong with the attitude he has, it will get him in some spots with people but so be it. I'd rather have someone who is respectful, yet not afraid to speak their mind rather than a meek media skilled coach. We need more Singletaries, not less, more people just telling you to pull head out of your *** and get the damn thing done.
