Not surprised. They did this **** last week. Talked up a storm about Marshall backing it up with stats from the preseason. Brilliant.

This one is just borderline unprofessional though. One-sided at best.

    "BRETT..."

    "...BRETT"

    "...and so BRETT..."

    "Because Brett"

The other commentators are a joke. Sounded butthurt too.

I am not surprised...listening to Dierdorf, for the most part, was more of the same...It will take more wins to get respect, especially against everyone's beloved Jets and Pats, but I love flying under the radar.

Reminds me of last year when we had the #1 Rush Offense only to have Ronnie go down and the Jets take it over...which subsequently led to more Jets talk.

That's what it will be all week. Making excuses for Favre's mistakes, rather than crediting the reason for him making those mistakes.

If Minnesota found a way to win this game the headlines would be all about Favre's desire to win and never giving up.

I hate Brett Favre, and it's 90% because of the media.

That figures. Nobody bothers mentioning the gift fumbles that were the only reason Minnesota even had a shot at winning the game.

    I am used to it.

Hell even my wife got pissed once and left an angry voice message on NFL Networks phone# about how they always talk crap about the Fins and never replay classic games we win in favor of games we lost. (like the million times they have played the BS Monday Night Miracle and yet how many times have they replayed the Fake Spike game????)

Sorry chief, Dierdorf was all over our jock today. He gushed the whole game about both sides of our line and our defense as a whole.

Yeah the pregame was all about the Vikings and what they were going to do. Nobody ever talks about the Dolphins. Every year it's the same story. Maybe now we'll start getting some f*cking respect.

Meh. Someone somewhere will pull up the fact that the Bucs are also 2-0 and write this one off. As they always do. Maybe they'll also argue that the media HJ Cowboys are 0-2 and that these early games don't matter.

I am watching the half time report and they are showing the high lights one guy making excuses it's not Brett's fault, another announcer said to him you got yourself so wrapped in Favre snuggie you cant think straight. Great quote.

    Nobody likes us!!

Screw the media. We're 2 and 0 with an apparently great looking D, and Favre and the vikes are 0 and 2. They'll be giving us credit soon enough.

Have to agree, the announcers were solid, called it well and fair, gave us credit where due and ripped us where due also (the fumbles especially).

Dierdorf and Gumble gave our D some props, even praised Cam wake during the broadcast.

Not only are we 2-0, were 2-0 on the road. Time for our home opener baby! Whoo Hoo!

Dierdorf was surprised that we’re good in the trenches. He didn’t come into the game expecting what he saw, despite the fact that we’re well known by now for strong line play. So yeah, it’s disrespect from Dierdorf.

We have a new O-Line and D-Line. Players like Wake, Odrick, Jerry, Berger are not names that are well known outside the Phin circle.

I'm surprised they don't bring John Madden out of retirement just to do play by play for all Farve games ... that guy had more of a man crush on Brett then anyone in the history of the NFL :pity:

I agree. He was nowhere near as bad as usual. I didnt have any issues at all with the commentary really today. Usually I do with that crew.

CBS's Geico Play of the Day was the Peterson stone on 4th and goal. Our D stepped it up on that play big time.

ESPN is doing the same thing.

Tom Jackson did hit the nail on the head though:

"..we watched Favre walk into the stadium before the game and he looked like he just played a game.."

Exactly his ankle is NOT 100%

I thought that same thing! He was just kind of shuffling/limping along. Didn't look like he wanted to be there.

This is not the same Favre of last year. Dierdorf hit another point during the game as well, during Allens INT of the deep pass. "That's a throw the 20 year old Favre makes, not the 40 year old, was a good yard shy of his target" or something of that nature.

The Vikes are in for a rough season I think - last year was the fluke.

I saw that. My impression was that he just looked old. As a 40 year old myself who still engages in contact sports, I thought he moved much like I do in the mornings after a rough outing. I figured he'd be fine after he warmed up and stretched, but that this was probably his last year.

I'm willing to bet that Jake Long is Dan Dierdof's favorite current NFL player. And if he's not his favorite, then he's definitely one of his favorites.

Ever since we got Long, Dierdof gushes over him every game. An Elite lineman from Michigan sort of like himself back in the day

They're all @$$holes. They don't see, the Dolphins defense has given up 1 earned touchdown on blown coverage last week. This week the Viking TD came off the Ricky fumble 2 yards away from the endzone. Fins gave up over 300 yards and STILL won.

Adrian Peterson was on fire today, and when it came down to it Dansby stuffed him in the red zone on 4th down.

I'll even give Favre credit. He said a lot of nice things about Vontae Davis. I'm a Favre fan for the next few weeks, since the play the Jets in 2 weeks. And I want them to beat the Lions of course, otherwise it doesn't look as impressive.
