Add him to the list of Dolphins who are already amongst the best at their position..... Jake Long Lousaka Polite Karlos Dansby Brandon Marshall Vontae Davis who will be next?
well Dan Carpenter is obviously at least a top 4 Kicker in the NFL. (he was an alternate in the pro bowl, yes, but he still got enough votes from players, coaches, and fans to be the alternate)That does pretty much put him in the category "one of the best in the NFL at their position." I'll give you Bell tho.
that all sounds very honest to me. Hes basically saying, as nice as he can, that he thought Allen was a chump and Allen proved he wasn't.
And to think last season I was getting RIPPED to shreds by the so-called football experts here when I made the comment that Sean Smith is nowhere near Vontae's level and that Vontae will have a "premier corner" future and Sean Smith would not.....
yeah, but there was really no reason to think that last year. so, you just made a guess and you happened to be right. congrats i suppose.
Too bad Vontae Davis and the rest of the aforementioned Dolphins players don't exist and are therefore void of any respect, let alone praise.
If our 'phins beat the Jets on Sunday night, which certainly is no gimmie, and we still get this "Jets Lost" instead of "Dolphins Win" treatment, then we'll know there is some sort of bias out there somewhere.
They will, they will. Don't doubt that for a second. It might be billed as "the most devastating loss by the Jets in recent years; no excuse for losing against that team" >>> (Cue 20 minute segment on how the Jets lost the game 42-10 while giving up 3 defensive touchdowns and 1 score on 6 turnovers or "giveaways")
What does Sean Smith have to do with this conversation? Has it somehow been determined somewhere that Smith is not going to be good? I don't get why you're acting like you predicted something...no one will know for at least a few more years what kind of player Smith is.
Vontae is so good at tackling, the kid does it so fundamentally correct, everytime he hits you at the waist or lower.....never does that arm tackling/upper body crap... remember that play where he slip and still tackled the guy by his feet yesterday....he saved 6 points I believe...
Back on topic..... I think the league will soon learn about Vontae. Unfortunately this league relies on numbers too much. If he gets tons of picks, he'll get noticed.
Yeah, that play with Harvin was crazy. Originally it looked like a shoe-lace trip, but looking at the replay, Vontae superglued both Harvin's ankles to his hands. Didn't let go. That first busted screen by #21 was a thing of beauty as well.
The kid is an absolute beast. He's as complete as they come. Great in coverage, playmaker, great tackler, big hitter, etc. My favorite player on the defense. He is better than Revis. Yeah, I said it.
