    Yeah, I heard the NFL wants cable companies to pay more for their network than they pay for CNN. More people watch CNN than the NFL network. I think the whole thing is stupid. Greed is a terrible thing.

    I have Directv, I get it, and its ten times better than cable.

    I have it and hardly ever watch it except around draft time or if there is a really good game on.

    I would be perfectly willing to pay more for the NFL then CNN. You must have priorities in life.

    What the NFL wants is to control its own product.Their ultimate goal is to control their own product in as many markets as they can.They would eliminate open air TV and even Direct TV ibroadcasts if they could but they do not have the structure to do so yet so there will be accomodations reached in the meanwhile.

    That is their ultimate goal .To broadcast all of their games to the maximum possible audience internationally under their own control.

    Once you understand that you will understand what they are doing.
