If we were ever going to air it out, this would be it. Marshall against Cromartie for an entire game makes me go from 6 o'clock to midnight.

Sweet music to my ears...now if Sanchize just acts like he did against the Ravens instead of against the pasties, I'd be in heaven...

Forget about Cromartie, target the rookie. Or go 3 wide and let their 4th string guy try to cover Bess.

If Henning doesnt call a few more deep pass attempts to Marshall, I am going to lose it. I am not sure why we brought Marshall here if we aren't going to use him....ALSO, why has Bess become the invisible man???? We need to open it up more.

Marshall is NOT a deep ball WR...he is an underneath-yards after catch WR. He doesn't have the top end speed to consistently get deep.

As to Bess, I'm guessing that the Vikes purposely took Bess out of the game, (admittedly I didn't watch that aspect of the game very well), but that hinders what we try to do offensively if they take Bess out of the game making us rely on Henne, who isn't ready for that just yet, as any young QB would not be...

The Jets Defense has allowed an average of 50.5 yards of rush and 236 pass yards over the last two games. Now I know we have a better power running game than the Ravens and Pats but just shows that their secondary can be exploited even with Revis.

In comparison our Defense has allowed an average of 103 rush yards to 162 pass yards over the last two games.

We are ranked 6th in the NFL according to yards per game allowed and the Jets are 12th.

I agree but the guy GETS open deep on numerous occasions, is he DeSean Jackson no, but the guy uses his body as an advantage....yesterday 47 yards on on pass....the buffalo game, if Henne put a little bit into it, that is also a 40+ yard TD....the guy is a deep threat, just not your traditional one....

thats what his reputation is, but he proved us wrong 2 weeks in row, one long ball where he was wide open got hung up in the wind and yesterday on the first offensive play he beats winfield...DEEP for a 47 yarder, last year he had a 77 yarder against washington i believe, he is sure known to be that RAC guys, but make no mistake, he also can get deep

If JT's health is shot I'm curious how they'll mount an effective pass rush with only Bryan Thomas really on the field. I hope they put Gholston at 3-4 DE so we can run him over.

Early on, we just need to toss outside to Cro's side and let Ronnie just crush him again. Ronnie certainly enjoyed that when we beat SD last time.

If you're planning against that team you definitely don't attack their strengths up the middle. Pouha, Scott, and Harris are capable but the outsides with Devito and Ellis backed up by Thomas and Taylor are more susceptible to being run over. Attack Taylor especially against Long utilizing the battering ram Lousaka Polite and see if you can flat out crush the the Jets' pass rush for later in the game. Heck use Marshall against Cromartie short and see if you can lull that team to sleep for late game passing.

This matchup is a sense is better for Miami as far as options go than last year's was. That doesn't mean they'll do as well but the options are available.

The Patriots secondary hasn't shown any inclination to stop anyone yet, either in the pre-season or the regular season. Sanchez's performance didn't really surprise me much.

Cromartie has looked good so far. He has 2 or 3 ints right? I know that Marshall has had previous success against Cromartie when he was in Denver. Does anyone have stats on their previous matchups?

It was a strange moment, to see JT close in on Brady and you just KNEW it was going to be a sack/fumble play. Always good to see Brady take a hit, but hard to EVER cheer for good things happening for the Jests.

That hit sealed the game for the Jets.

The deal with the Jets as far as playoffs have gone is that they simply don't have the personnel to rush the passer once you get rid of the confusion that they can create. Their four man line that faces you on most downs is Taylor, Devito, Pouha, and Ellis. Now when Thomas, Harris, and Scott enter the picture that makes it more complicated. Arguably the best idea would be to completely neutralize Thomas by going three wide. If you can make that team's pass rush as basic and predictable as possible they're in deep ****, DEEPPPPPP ****tt...

Indy hurt the Jets horribly in that fashion in the playoffs.

Don't get it twisted, Cromartie is nowhere near Revis level, but he's not terrible. He's atheltic and rangey and can pick off the ball like no one's business. His rep is that he's not great in coverage, but he did shut down Moss yesterday after Revis left the game. Cromartie may even be a worse matchup for Marshall as Cromartie is the same size as him, give or take an inch. Moral of the story, let's not get ahead of ourselves and say we need to sling the ball downfield 20 times on Sunday. Don't forget that Kris Jenkins is on IR and Jason Taylor will be out as well so that defensive line is shot. We should be able to power the ball up the middle all day long.

It's my personal opinion that we need to stick with the game plan that got us to 2-0. I don't know about you, but I really don't want to see Henne go out there and fling it 40 times. That opens up the chance for mistakes, bad plays and turnovers. And those are things we can't afford. Let Ronnie and Ricky tote the ball, give Marshall his 6-8 catches, and for the love of God get Bess and Fasano in on the passing game. The middle of the field is going to be open all day against the Jets. We must exploit that.

If Taylor is out then yes they're royally ****ed against the run. It's getting too late to sign Adalius Thomas and plug him in so who would Miami face, Jamaal Westerland? I have no idea if he can hold up in the run game against Long. Devito's protecting him against Incognito. I like those match-ups especially since it's Ronnie's stronger side. Hit Harris with Polite early and often.

Report: Jets' Revis out until at least Week 5

ESPN New York's Rich Cimini reports that the "feeling" around the Jets is that Darrelle Revis (hamstring) will miss "at least two games."

Cimini's original report had Revis missing "at least one game," so he's revised it to account for a winnable game against Buffalo's league-worst passing game. Antonio Cromartie actually moves to left cornerback with Revis out, and Brandon Marshall plays most of his snaps at LWR, so he won't necessarily matchup up with Cromartie for the whole game in Week 3. Marshall will still have his way with Drew Coleman, Dwight Lowery, and Kyle Wilson.
