irrational? Rude awakening? sub .500 team? It's not like us Phins fans are the only ones who think we're a playoff contender. Look around; lots of experts and analysts are saying it.

Our offense played poorly, meanwhile Buffalo really didn't make any mistakes, and we still beat you easily AT HOME. I can't wait to see what the score actually looks like when our offense DOESN'T leave so many plays on the field!! Did Buffalo miss a lot of tackles, drop some INTs, have lots of stupid penalties negating big plays, miss FG's, any of that? No, you didn't. So you can't say that you played poorly. You just got BEAT. Plain and simple, so quit making excuses. BEAT BEAT BEAT BEAT BEAT. When this 166 yards (and Spillers 14 total yards) ends up being your lowest performance of the season, then you can come back and apologize for not giving our defense due credit. It's already your lowest output in 20 games (and you didn't even have savior CJ last year), yet you still don't acknowledge it as a dominating performance, Homer.

It's bad enough that you have a distorted view of the game, but now you can't read either? I said "pass defenses". P-A-S-S.

You're not getting my blood riled so keep trying. I only find it humorous that you're such a homer and distant from reality.

Repeatedly missing Marshall? LMAO. He missed him on 1 major time (and in some serious wind to boot). Every QB in the league misses throws here and there. 15 points, moron. A score is a score is a score. You ignorantly act like this game is only about offenses (which then makes it pointless for you to draft McKelvin and Maybin with 2 of your last 3 1st round picks..... actually it's a shame you drafted Maybin period :tongue2: ). Points come from offense AND defense. You were SHUT DOWN at 10 points b/c you were fortunate to score even that much based on how badly our defense was destroying you.

Our offense scored 13 points, but your defense was LUCKY that's all Miami scored b/c we left at least 10 offensive points on the board. We left 14 defensive points on the board. Buffalo left ZERO points on the board. Z-E-R-O. That's the difference.

I love how you persistently keep going back to the 13 points as if that means more than the play on the field. We had twice as many yards as you despite 6 dropped passes; We owned you in TOP; and we didn't have a hint of a potential turn over the entire game, where as Buffalo was lucky they didn't have at least 3. We could've very easily scored 39 points instead of the 15. Buffalo, however, would've still been left with 10 as your best case scenario. 10

Heck, I'd say that you were lucky to convert a 4th and long for a TD, but I'm not a homer like you.

It's nice that I know more about the Bills than you do, WC. As I was saying, Henne's performance was fine considering the 6 dropped passes, the wind, and the fact that he was playing the 2nd ranked pass defense in the NFL. Only a fool of a team would risk trying to attack your secondary. Our game plan per Sparano's mouth was to not turn the ball over, control the clock, and keep the penalties low (which we did), and you can implicitly include in that plan to be the more physical team and pound the ball on you).

    Buffalo's 2009 passing D stats:
-2nd in PASSER RATING allowed at 61%.
-2nd in pass yards allowed, 184.2
    -3rd in Completion percentage, 56%.
    -2nd in YPC allowed, 6.0
-2nd in pass TDs allowed, 14
    -2nd in INTS, 28
    -3rd in 1st downs allowed
    -3rd in 20+ yards allowed
    -5th in 40+ yards allowed

NO WHERE DOES OUR GAME PLAN INCLUDE ATTEMPTING TO OPEN UP AN ARIAL ATTACK AGAINST A STRONG SECONDARY, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT WE RUSHED FOR 250 YARDS IN OUR VICTORY OVER YOU LAST SEASON. Are you seriously that foolish to think we'd stray away from that same effective approach? :headscratch: You're just showing that you have zero understanding of the coaching/gameplanning side of football.

If even 3 of Henne's passes weren't dropped he goes 24/34 for 250 yards, 1 TD, and 0 INTs with a rating of over 100. That's far better than what your pass defense averages. And like YOU SAID: defenses play better than offenses during the 1st game of the season, so Henne's performance is greater than his numbers suggest. (just using your words against you) :wink2:

With the dropped passes, Henne still had a higher passer rating (76%), completed a greater percentage (62%), and threw less INT's (0) than you allowed on average last season. Like I said, why would we want to attack one of the strongest pass defenses in the league and risk a mistake when we can run the ball, eat up the clock, let our defense physically dominate you so that we can win the field position battle, and <hopefully> create some turnovers in the process that allow us a quick score. We accomplished everything except taking advantage of the turnover opportunities that the defense created. Our defense played to force your offense into making mistakes (which was the game plan).

    HUH?

"Lucky"?............ We didn't have to score any more points b/c we WON!!!! 15 was enough. Duh! :sidelol: (we beat you at home w/o our defense having to score ANY points. Extra defensive points would've just been some wonderful insult to injury, pouring salt on your bleeding wound!)

But you're the one making such a big deal out of points, so I'm merely pointing out that we could've very easily scored more.

Yes, dropped INT's are still a positive you buffoon. They're still a PBU. The last time I checked, when a defense breaks up a pass and causes a 3 and out, it's a positive thing. Only an idiot Bills fan would consider a PBU as a team negative b/c it didn't result in an INT. LMAO.

Do YOU think before you post.

Dude, your loss had NOTHING to do with "timing and rhythm". Your running game was shut down; your receivers were blanketed, and Edwards was hit on 22% of his passing attempts. That's total and utter defensive dominance. If you missed passes, had bad routes, etc, then you could argue it's the "timing" thing...... but the fact is: our defense was much too physical for your offense to handle.

On the other hand, your defense didn't shut us down. Our offense held itself back. There was only 1 team out of timing and rhythm, and that was Miami. Even us homer Fins fans weren't making excuses about the poor offensive play. I'm glad you're providing them for us.

Everyone played well? The last I checked, 16 teams lost, so I'm not sure how you could say that "everyone played" well with any degree of accuracy. That sounds like a homer Bills fan making excuses for his team's beat down. (take all the credit when you win, but give none out when you lose on your own turf during opening day)

yes, you know- those people who are paid lots of money to talk about football. :shifty:

Yes, we easily beat you. There wasn't a moment in the game that you were in it. We led from start to finish! And outside of 1 random, lucky 4th down TD (b/c our defense basically went into 4th qtr prevent mode during the drive), we physically dominated you for 60 minutes. Our defense was pounding your offense so badly that you had to take a forced safety b/c you couldn't do squat with the ball. That's embarrassing that you had to result to weak shenanigans like that.

*******By the way, you took the easy safety b/c you didn't want to give Clifton Smith, one of the best returners in the game, open room to take one to the house. :wink2: I can EASILY turn your chicken-s#!t safety around on you since you like playing the "what if" game so much. If you didn't take the easy safety, then you punt the ball away, which is then either returned for a TD or immediate field goal position. So those "2 points" that you're not giving us credit for would have ACTUALLY been at least 3 or 7 points if you guys didn't wimp out and punt us the ball instead. The ONLY reason a team gives up the free 2 points is when they are preventing the opponent from scoring an easy 3 or 7 instead. Duh.

Hysterical I tell ya! I'm not sure how you think you had ANY chance when you couldn't even move the ball 10 yards when it truly counted. <insert smilie cracking a whip here if we had one>

Not really. I was initially being gentle towards the guy after our win if you read my earlier posts.... but he insisted on staying an irrational, insulting poopy-head.

If a rival wants to come into our house and continue to talk smack after losing to us on their home turf (especially during week 1), then they get what they have coming. Sorry, but there's only so long I can be nice to someone like that. :D

I'm not gonna be nice to the guy with the intention of keeping him here longer just so we can listen to him continue to talk trash about us. LOL.

Yes...I would say that when one team beats another in THEIR STADIUM with only ONE PHASE of the game and a little help from another...that YES..that is a beatdown.

Not an annihilation....just a beatdown. We get our offense rolling and it would have been a proper blowout.

I did not say the Dolphins are the Saints. I used the saints as an example of how when one team is superior to another, they can play poorly and still win.

it is delusional for a fan of a team that got 8 first downs to think that they will drive down to tie a game, much less win it.

Dude, your TD came on 4th and 11 on a busted coverage. Come on already.

We are in for NO rude awakening. We think our team is a borderline playoff team..just like everybody else does.

    AGAIN..PAY ATTENTION..this is important...

The Dolphins over/under on wins was 8.5 games this year.

The Bills over/under on wins was 5 games.

    That is a huge difference.

One team is projected to make the playoffs or just miss them..the other is in the conversation for a top 5 pick.

    Wow 16 pages? LOL

Anyway, there's no real debate here. The Dolphins, for the most part, handled the Bills pretty easily.

The score makes it seem so much closer than it really was.

Like ToddsPhins said, the Bills left nothing on the table. The Dolphins left up to 24 pts. on the table.

Suddenly 13 (not counting that BS safety) + 24= 37-10.

    Some Bills "news":

Edwards has received his allotted punishm..err..two starts, and now Ryan Fitzpatrick will start.

Which is something of an upgrade for the Bills, as it appears the team just has lost faith in Trent Edwards, Fitzy is a 55% completion type, but is more mobile and more willing to throw the ball deep down the field and take the hit to throw it.

We'll see, going up to play in Buffalo is never an automatic win, and Fitzy is just one of those Qb's who the team just plays harder for when he is in the game.

Should be fun, besides we already got our "away" game in Buffalo out of the way, so let the Bills improve a bit in time for the Pastrtiots and Jest games.

And the Bills matchup really well with the Pastriots, a really good passing defense vs a team that does not run the ball well and just lost Kevin Faulk (potentially).

Dude..for the Dolphins to go 8-8 or worse..they basically have to go 6-2 at home and then drop every single road game.

    You are projecting.

You are back to your "we suck...so I hope you suck too!!!"

As for coming from behind...check the boxscores from last year. Henne led 4 4th quarter comebacks.

For the last time...we are a good team...a playoff team.

I am unable to bash WC's fandom though Sect, the man is hardcore and refuses to go down without a stuggle..

    Just like Wang.

And to be honest, a improving Bills team is great news for the Dolphins, they are tough at home, the Jets and Pats still have to go up there to play, if Fitzy at Qb means they win one of those games, and I think he does, then so much the better.

Knowing your front office, you’ll draft another running back. Outside chance of a corner.

Or, if you actually do draft a QB, he’ll bust.
