Too bad, if Rolly Lumbala could have waited 2 weeks before he signed in BC. Hmm, do they bring in a Veteran like Sean Ryan or LJ Smith? Or go young with Epps or Mastrud from the practice squad? Or do they have a fullback in mind?
Don't do it FY, these guys hold onto information like a bad shell stays closed in Zoupa de Mussels..just kinda sits in the plate looking at ya funny.. Don't want to jinx anyone, but there wasn't any injuries that we know of during the Vikes game so this is due to performance and maybe they want to save Nalbone's practice squad eligibility?
Nalbone was not a blocking TE. He was a pass catching tight end who caught no passes and can't block very well.
Wow. I am not thrilled with Nalbone, but how many TE's do we have on the roster? Only one I can think of is Fasano. Am I forgetting someone?
With the Jets coming to town, you gotta think they're looking for a blocker. Obviously special teams contributor. But for a guy who's going to be active, it's gotta be a better blocker than Nalbone. And it would seem to indicate one of the PS guys. With that in mind, I expect the gameplan to look a lot like the gameplan last year. Lots of max protect. Only this time we've got Marshall out there and they've got no Revis.
This is really crazy timing with Vince Jackson about to be dealt on a 1 year deal. I might mention something I read about that if he is aquired and goes elswhere next year the team gets a #3 round comp pick. So is 10 Million and a Pick swap worth it? Not to mention our bye week is 5 so his suspension would be served pre bye. Nahhhh no Way Forget about it impossible.......
I don't see how we could afford Jackson and Marshall at the same time, on the same team, fighting for the same catches. That would not be good.
I agree as far as balls we dont have enough to go around but on monetary note have Hooty buy in and pay his salary or something. Could you imagine a 4 wide out set Marshall Jackson Hartline Bess with Brown a single set back? You got to admit that would be cool to see....
Line up Polite at TE? Lex Hilliard? Cobbs at H-Back? At some point, they're going to have to qualify all the RBs on the roster. That's all I can come up with... this is a little confusing.
Cobbs is to small for that role, and Hilliard is not much of a blocker. Inhouse I could see Jermey Parnell make it into the game as he is a fmr Te.
We have Polite... but seriously, something is up... what line up will they have for the Jets??? 3WR or 4 WR sets???
I thought they said Revis would be a game-time decision. And as important as this game is, you know he'd play. Has this changed ? Is Revis definately out ?
He'll be waived next week in place of Dedrick Epps, who will then be waived and Nalbone will be brought back.
