7. New York Jets: Too early to give up on Mark Sanchez(notes)? You bet 9. New England Patriots: Two pass-*interference calls were killers. 10. Miami Dolphins: Can't overstate *importance of goal-line stop. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=pfw-20100921_week_three_power_rankings_2 Well, it's good news that three of the top ten are considered in the AFC East, and I thought it was funny that the only undefeated among them held the bottom slot. I wonder if NE will still be above us next week when we blow out NY at home this Sunday...
If we beat the Jets, we will see it reflected in the week four rankings. I think most people are still wary of our offensive output and feel that we haven't truly been tested since week one was against Buffalo and week two was against a banged up Minnesota team. To be honest, having any type of power rankings before at least four games have been played seems rather early since I am not sure you can see the true identity of a team until then, but it makes for good conversation I suppose.
Ha! Not during the game (coffee, soda and water) but I did have a grand total of four brews on Sunday night...so take that for what it is worth. Although if we are tenth, that does sound like the amount of times I used th toilet during the game because of said fluids above.
When I put a bathroom in my basement next to my man-cave, I made sure to install a urinal for just those occasions. It .. is .. awesome. <can a urinal be awesome?>
I fully agree with you....at this point the rankings are nothing more than idle conversation, which is why many 2-0 teams are ranked lower than the 1-1's. A true ranking, however, would mean if the season ended today who would be where...and since we're leading the division but ranked 3rd out of the 4 divisional teams was the reason I posted it. Not much thought behind the rankings at all.
I don't thin we deserve to be in the TOP 10 yet, IMO, but why are the 1-1 Jets in the Top 6??? Jets beat a team that went out the first round of the PS last year... and we beat a team that went the the NFC Championship game... Their D, while not allowing points (the gates will open and a flood will flow soon), are last in TDC, and 24th FD allowed... they are also worst than us in Passing yards allowed... I tell you, their Passing D will be their weaknessthis year...
Well, through this way of thinking since there's 3 AFCE in the Top 10 I assume they will have to spot us as 1 overall if we beat both
