Off waivers from the Vikings per Armando and Aaron Wilson

What's the word? 7th round pick, 6-4, 250 pounds. I don't know much more about him.

Dude's dad, Sr., played NFL 14 seasons at the position.

Thought Irish would be interested in him down in the Other NFL forum.

From what I've seen of him, Shuler is very much of a Sparano guy, a mucker and digger who just played really tough at Penn State.

This is the type of player who will stick his nose in to block, recover a fumble, cover on ST..but as per usual, do not fall in love with the bottom of the roster guys..they may not be here for very long.

Do we ever use our tight ends?????? Fasano turned into the Invisible Man in game two, afte having a nice game in Buffalo. I don't think Tight Ends are in Henning's playbook?

Come on thats a joke we use it for blocking protection on the pass and blocking to break are boys on the Run. When we get less than 8 in the box we throw a tightend over th emiddle while Marshall commands double teams

EDIT; per Sparano Fasano graded well was in protection all day because the vikes line is good

Well, do not expect some David Martin type of offensive numbers out of this guy either, he is strictly a meat and potatoes blocking Te type.

Back in the day he'd be Donnie Warren...err..Mike Sellers..more or less a Fb/Te who moved around and blocked people, lots of dirty work to do..

Cause the waiver wire works on last seasons record until 3 or 4 games in. I remember our first year with this regime we were still picking up folks with the top waiver claim for a bit into the season.

Perhaps this will open up Fasano for more passes? And he could be a very good addition to the Wildcat with his excellent blocking skills.

    T'was a joke but:

    1. In this case, "related to" doesn't only refer to who his father might / might not be.
    2. His father's name is most likely Mickey Shuler Sr.
