At 34, this is probably the end of the line for Kevin Faulk, he was such a weapon for the Pastriots, 3rd and 5..dump to Faulk..first down. Was the SEC All Time TD leader until Tebow broke his record last yr. Now the Pastriots are down to Taylor, Minor, Ben Jarvis Green (?)
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWO!!!!! The injury bug has ravaged the AFC East, on big name players....that is a huge weapon lost, 3rd down conversion go to guy is no more... I pray none of Miami's gets hurt...
Hmm, a pity they just peddled Maroney to Denver, stuff like this never used to happen to the Pastriots, now they have 2 30 yr old plus Rb's and a guy who has never done much in the NFL at Rb.
Maroney still wouldnt have helped him Father Padre.....you cant make chicken salad, with chicken sh*t.....
Compared to the immortal Danny Woodhead? Maroney at least had a 1k yd season, Woodhead cannot keep contain on kick off coverage, there is a slight dropoff in talent level in that exchange FY. Faulk was a pro in ever sense of the term, the Pats will miss him and do not have anyone to replace him.
Wonder if this attributed to his performance against the Jets? One thing is for sure, when we meet up with the Pats, its going to be Air Brady all game. With the way our secondary has been playing though, I'm not as worried as I normally would be.
Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports that Faulk has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, which will end his 12th season with the franchise.
Huge loss for the Pats. Faulk was the third down back, and a very very good one. He always seemed to have a killer play when they needed one. He was also their best blocker. If teams have an easier time getting to Brady now ... This is turning into a possibly really rough season for the Patsies what with a crappy defense, no running game, and now possibly dubious protection for Brady with Faulk/Mankins and Kakzur gone. The Jests got him in the second half and he kind of disintegrated - if Jason Taylor can get to him, Cameron Wake and Koa Misi can as well.
