Only 2 that I am watching are the new Nikita and Lost Girl. Other then that I haven't found a single new show that I like yet beyond those two.
Well I was a fan of the original Nikita tv show. It's on the CW. Lost Girl is a purely Canadian production. Supernatural type show. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpavXwV2RYA"]YouTube - Lost Girl Sundays at 9 ET/PT[/ame]
i've slightly heard of nikita but only the original, haven't see either of those shows mentioned.i've been watching modern family and fringe which aren't necisarily new.the newer shows i'm attempting to get into are rookie blue, memphis beat(which i'm still on the fence about)and men of a certain age which i think started last yr.some of the others i tried to get into but were cancelled were scoundrals and happy town.
Running Wilde has potential. I'm hoping for another Arrested Development but I'm sure those goals are too lofty.
I watched the premieres of both Raising Hope and Running Wilde and I was very disappointed. Hope still has some promise where I think Wilde doesn't, but I just can't stomach another show about people living in poverty and ignorance, no matter how funny. The Event was awesome; we'll see if they can sustain the thread. Can't wait for the season premieres of Caprica and Sanctuary. And Stargate: Universe next Tuesday.
I'm looking forward to the show The Walking Dead on AMC this coming October... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mybBDpYe_5Y"]YouTube - AMC's The Walking Dead Trailer: Show starts Halloween Night 10/31/2010[/ame]
The Event I think has good potential, excited to see where it goes. Kind of a 24/Fringe/Lost mixture. I don't watch much TV though and not much else really has me itching to watch it.
The Event is not the event.....it's another Flash Forward. At least the past season brought us some genuine funny in Cougar Town and Community, Modern Family...albeit nothing amazingly special. Last season also brought us Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Stargate Universe, White Collar and Hung. This year is looking pretty weak. Was even disappointed in Boardwalk Empire. Nikita is even just 'alright'. Lost Girl seems interesting, but you yanks will have to download it as it's a purely Canadian production right now on tv up here.
Mike and Molly was good, and so was The Defenders. Both of those have serious potential. The new comedy on ABC Wednesdays, between The Middle and Modern Family, was pretty forgettable, even with the awesome Joanna Garcia in it. The fact that Outsourced starts out the fall while Parks and Rec is languishing as a mid season replacement infuriates me. In case you can't tell, I love half hour comedies and I don't watch many dramas (the exceptions being The Good Wife, The Defenders, and The Mentalist). But give me The Big Bang Theory, Community, The Office, Parks and Rec, How I Met Your Mother, The Middle, or Modern Family and I will be happy!
I love Community and Modern Family. However I cannot get passed 30 seconds of Cougar Town. I tried to watch it, however just kept on changing the channel.
Love Big Bang Theory. Pimping that since day 1. Community was solid but the paintball episode was an instant classic that you can sit new folk in front of and have them hooked. I like drama, sci fi and comedy. Only procedural I like is NCIS or as I call it 'the abby show'. Check out Lost Girl though. The young sidekick is worth it alone. She gets all the best lines.
Nice sets, Nice direction, Nice acting from Buscemi.........nothing else. The supporting characters were weak big time, dull pacing, can't buy Buscemi in that role despite his ability. Plus it's not really an era I've dug much in film or tv outside of Carnivale, Untouchables etc.
The paintball episode of Community was one of the best episodes of anything I have ever seen. Such an amazing episode. I thought the show started OK and then got good when they just started to go zany.
Hawaii 5-0 sucked, buuuuuut it is in Hawaii and and it has lots of Hawaiian scenery. I'm crazy but I'll watch just about anything if its in Hawaii.
Undercovers was watchable.. on my "maybe" list so I will tune in at least 2 or 3 more times to make a decision.
My absolute favorite comic book and I have every issue since #1. I've avoided watching the trailer just so I can see it fresh without any expectations and praying it lives up to the book. I'm curious how they will ever air some of the stuff that happens later in the book with the Gov'ner, so I hope they don't have to edit too much.
Yah I'm giving Undercovers one or 2 more tries but unfortunately it just came off as Alias part 2 to me. Been there...done that.
That zombie show looks really good, gonna have to check it out! Love every single zombie movie, even those bad ones.... because they are usually funny (unintentionally) Is it only six episodes and then it's done for good?
I heard about the Walking dead around March and have been excited to see it. I hope this becomes another flagship franchise for AMC.
Looking forward to that one, but it's only like 6 episodes I hear? Seems kinda short. After everything I have seen this year I gotta say Lost Girl is easily becoming the best of them which is shocking as I usually don't like Canadian based shows (outside of Forever Knight!). It's got a fairly small budget compared to American shows but it's definitely got something. But at least the best news is that Torchwood will indeed be back in 2011...woohoo.
The only new show I’m interested in is Law & Order LA. It’s a shame they couldn’t bring back the Rey Curtis character for that series, too. Still a little annoyed that the main series was killed off. They should at least do a second movie to tie up loose ends. SVU and Criminal Intent do nothing for me.
I watched the pilots for The Event and Chase. Both were good. The Event 2nd episode was very good. It could get very interesting. I recorded Chase. Will have to watch it tonight.
And Lonestar is the first casualty of what is likely to be a brutal cancellation streak. I'm going to give Empire & The Event one last try.
I watched No Ordinary Family last night. I liked it but it felt a little too much like the Incredibles and Heroes at times, especially the ending, which has been a knock on the show since it was announced it was picked up.
I watched detroit 187 again. I am finding myself enjoying it more and more. I would have preferred the main detective be a bit more like sipowitz and less like monk, but I am enjoying the strange mix they have.
Cougartown is like Scrubs for women. I loved Scrubs up until the end (hated the 'last' season) and I even thought the show was both geared towards men/women. Cougartown though? I just can't find Courteney Cox to be funny. I'd hit it, but yeah. No funny.
