Jason Taylor: Parcells is a douche

Bill Parcells and Jason Taylor during the contract negotiations:

 

You are either one of Parcells' guys or you're not. If you aren't, he can be a complete prick. I don't know anything about the Taylor situation, but it wouldn't shock me if BP was a douche to him.

I'll always like BP for making the Jets relevent in NY, but the guy can be extremely difficult.

And I don't see how Miami fans can give Taylor crap. He did what he felt he had to do. I still wear my Pennington jersey with pride. The guy gave his all for my team and I'm glad he got that opportunity with you guys. Would I have been happier if he went to say the Panthers? Sure. But at the end of the day he owed the Jets nothing and did what he had to do.

Taylor may be wearing Jets green today, but we all know he will always be a Dolphin and I have no problem with that.

I'm sorry but he is one of two players I have grown up with the Dolphins in the last few years. i have respected him all the way, he has done everything expected of him.

The Parcells regime has changed the way he feels about the place for sure, and he doesn't feel wanted in the way he feels, and Parcells feels the way he should be used.

I'm ok about that too.

But lets not Dis on a player thats been great to this club. I know you don't mean to do that either.

Don't think that I am not pissed that he has gone to the Jets, I am, and I don't know the reason why either, but you cant put all the blame on Taylor.

Lebatard always maintains that the contract dispute was over Parcell's sliding him a post it note instead of dealing with Jason's agent. A move Jason saw as being disrespectful and unprofessional.

I'm with you on the dancing with the stars take. It was a commitment he made prior to Parcells being hired so you really can't fault either side IMO.

But who really gives a sh!t? It's just a stupid little game on a radio show. It's for sh!ts and giggles, baby.

In the end, both sides justifiably feel like the other side is the douche.

BTW- Landshark stadium was the biggest douche move by far IMO.

Taylor just can't help himself, he is a drama queen.

I have all the respect for what he did playing for the Fins.

36..Jets were in the AFC Title game, and he did have a uncertain future in Miami.

Look at our Lb corps now, at best he would be in the Q Moses role, if that much, if he made the team, the Jets offered him a legit shot for a Title and playing time.

I can't blame the man for that, the rest is just kinda jibber jabber to me.

And I'm not even defending Parcells. He does seem douchey to me. Just wanted to say that and finally found the right thread.

 

It's douchey even making mention of this. It's a little
game on the show, and, JT actually called Dan a
dousche for asking the question. It's all in fun, and
if you expect JT to have love for a guy that treated him
like garbage, I think that's pretty unrealistic.

Anyone else meet Jason Taylor before? Probably one of the biggest celebrity dick heads I've ever met. I trash canned his jersey (srs) after meeting him. Everyone around was shocked at what a douche bag he was. He just carries a really nasty attitude, and I'm saying that from having the experience of seeing him in person multiple times.

I know it can be annoying at times to be noticed every where you go, but I witnessed him telling a CHILD to "**** off" as he was asked to take a picture with him.

Zach Thomas on the other hand is a really nice dude.... JT should model himself after his brother in law.

 

That's the most recent interview. The one where he starts out saying he did not want to get into how things transpired. Then slowly he starts. Then goes full blown into how things went........once again!

Parcells has yet to comment though

 

I met JT on South Beach with his wife and he was real cool. This was a long time ago and it might have helped that I was wearing an Orange #99 at the time but he was mad cool to me...

 

I think this whole thread has the smell of Vinegar and Sunshine...
