I'm posting this late in the 3rd with the Fins down one...it's been one heck of a game and I wanted to make tihs comment before the final score or a mistake influenced my prospective. Chad Henne is looking great and hopefully this calms people down a bit on the abilities of our QB.
...and so far, props to Henning for opening up the offense with the calls. Trust in Henne and let him make plays. Now he needs to do it in the 4th quarter and get this W!
2nd and 2 with no site of Ronnie or Polite is frustrating, but speaks a ton to this regime's trust in Henne. Every time we're in the red zone they're looking to Henne to make the score...that says A LOT. It's tight down there, and only the best thrive there IMO.
Agreed. But you shoulda see the reactions of some certain members here when he got off to a slow start. Calling for his head, for the backup, saying how horrible he was. People are totally clueless. At least we actually opened things up tonight though and let him throw. He took chances, made throws, trusted his wR's would make plays, and they did. He's going to keep getting better the more he starts and plays.
Yeah he had a hell of a game against the jets defense so hopfully this will help henning open up the play calling a little bit more
Henne was good. Henning was as worse as he's ever been. Maybe moreso. So many stupid pointless calls.
my 2 cents... i havent seen WR play from the miami dolphins especially from the beast since.....well NEVER, what a beast he is props to the whole WR Core in general, they came to play imo, besides the defense who couldnt get off the field a key times, if henning just lets henne sling it lose all game with no wildcat he ends up with over 400 yards and we win this freaking game
Henning finally opens up the offense, but just can't help himself. Has to go Wildcat whenever Henne gets hot. And it works less and less now. Has to go pass, pass from the 2-yard line. THIS team and he calls passes. I've harped on 'common sense playcalling' for a year now. It's always a handful of plays that win the game or get you beat. Henning is a sure bet to call them every week. This week was no exception. Retire the damn Wildcat already.
I officially would almost trade us never to have started the WildCat....Henning had a lot of really good play calls tonight....some awsome ones.... But the WildCat ones were just plain horrendous...
Henne played a fantastic game against a very good defense. He has great poise and makes some damn nice throws.
Like I said... Didn't happen. But this loss was more on the D and ST than it was on Henning's calls and Henne's pass at the end.
