we beat the jets twice last year and they got into the playoffs (yeah i know it was because two teams laid down, but still). and i said it earlier, but man i hate the wildcat.
Well, Jason Allen pretty much cost us that game singlehandedly. The awful missed tackle on Edwards, the awful coverage on that late 3rd down, the Pass Interference on the final 3rd down. He played great the first 2 games, but tonight, he screwed up big time.
And it is not the first time, I'm heistant to call for heads to roll after a tough loss, however ST was so poor that Sparano really needs to evaluate and possibly replace Jon Bonamego. Dude's unit was simply a fireable offense.
Not sure why Bell isn't getting any blame, either. He gave up some pretty big plays and was burned by Keller repeatedly.
I don't know what to say about JA... not sure Sean Smith would have been any better... Notice Vontae was barely thrown at?... Yet we don't put VD on Edwards... next week will be the same thing, JA on Moss... cringe...

i agree that the wildcat seems to have run its course (no pun int3ended) but you're going to use it until the league catches up to it. it seems the league has caught up to it so i agree that we need to phase it out. i dont mind one wildcat play here or there. you get to talk to henne on the sideline and get a ssense of what he's seeing but more than one wildcat play in a row seems to be hoping for last year's results. still the rest of the game plan was brilliant

Nobody on the D was good. Maybe Vontae Davis b/c I don't think he was tested too much. Of course for some reason our best CB wasn't covering their best WR. The rest of them underperformed.

You got it wrong. We are two scores behind because we made Dustin Keller a pro bowler in the first half. Special Teams added another score if not two. We cannot defense sweep. They ran at Cameron Wake all night long and he looked just like Jason Tayler circa 1998-1999. 31 points? This loss is all on defense and special teams.
Yup. as much as these types of games kill me, I love them! I was saying to my girlfriend tonight, as long as these teams are competitive, they should play at least one of their two games, if not both, in primetime.
All this Allen hate is ******ed. Seriously. My complaint with JA is that he falls down IN EVERY GAME!!! WTF is up with that?
Come on Ozman, Sick is a good egg who is overwrought by this loss. We were at the 10 yd line, first down, 2 TO's, **** happens. ST play though..eegads...Sparano should take a hard look at his Paisan whose unit played so terribly, he would never put up with a player giving such a poor performance, why does a Coach get a pass?
Sean Smith could not cover Dustin Keller in the first half. God only knows what Braylon Edwards would have done to him. This guy must have been smokin' weed with Ricky in the offseason.
I hate the Jets.... But....I love the Phins Jets games....this is what a true rivalry is like... Guys...tonights game was only the first round of a long fight....
Another crazy Jet Dolphin game in the books. We have a great chance to go into their house and win in December so don't sweat it. The bottom line for us is, if we can get healthy and stay healthy...we'll be in the play-offs. But we can't win with guys like Moses, Baker, Dotson, and Dobbins out there. Those guys are just not good enough to help us compete. I don't know what this team is doing with this crazy *** personnel shuffle. I'd like to see that ironed out a bit. But we are good, and will compete. I'm over it, on to New England.
The offense was good enough. Let's not kid ourselves. Not perfect but certainly good enough. Especially against a tough D. Our D disgusted me tonight against an offense that has shown they will struggle against a real defense. I thought we had a real defense, I know now to lower my expectations for this season.
Why? Because they lost? I'm not saying the guy is the best OC in the league but there was a hell of a lot of missed execution on some damed good calls tonight!!
Was it me or did we have a five yard penalty assessed on the kickoff and Carpenter only kicked it to like the five 5 and the ran it for like a 40yard gain. He has got to be the worst kick off guy in the league.
ok it is the beer talking. but to even mention henne at all for the reason we lost the game is erroneous. he out performed tom brady against the same defense. really?!?!?!?!? With no run game!!!!
