Let me first say I'm a jets fan and hate the dolphins but I must admit the fish are definitely coming, the afc east is prob toughest in NFL and may get 2 or 3 playoff spots 1. Henne is gonna be a stud 2. Marshall is an animal 3. The d is young fast and physical although I do have to say the jets did win in a huge gm, hostile environment, without revis, pace and s holmes...you know I had to throw that in there I'm a jet fan but know a good young team on the rise when I see one ie...the dolphins
I agree that the AFC East is the toughest division and that the Jets got a huge win. Congrats! But the injury thing is over played. The Dolphins lost their starting NT (Fergusen) and DE (Merling) in the preseason and they were missing their starting LB (Crowder) and starting RG (Jerry) and their new starting DE (Odrick replaced Merling) for the game. The Jet's injuries got more press, but the Dolphins went in with as many injured starters, if not more.
And AJ Edds, and Kory Sheets, and Will Allen... just saying. The Jets have put themselves in a good spot within the division by defeating the Pats and Fins in consecutive weeks, the division race could come down to tie-breakers if all teams continue to play solid, not to mention the AFC wild card race. I would put the AFC East, AFC South, and AFC North against any divisions in the NFC.
This is the way I see it... The Dolphins or Jets will win the division, both teams will probably make the playoffs. The Pats will finish 3rd due to their pathetic defense and the Bills will finish last because...well they are the Bills.
I forgot about him. He was clearly among our top 5 OL. I also forgot about Ike who was penciled in as our starting SOLB before the illness.
